Thanks! I mostly wore the bag with both straps on one shoulder so no issues at all with bag opening. Ditto for the regular way of wearing it on my back. (I saw someone modelling the bag crossbody against her back - which may cause problems with bag not staying shut).

Ok a little intel. I am sticking with just the leather small Gabrielle's, so for 18C colors are: beige fonce, pale pink and dark blue. For just leather on leather for 17B, white/ white, purple, rosewood/burgundy, & beige/black.

I'm debating if I should get a Chanel Gabrielle in White tweed. Gabrielle-owners, what are the pros and cons? 
I have bags from other brands too. My closet is not screaming for a new bag but the Gabrielle is a nice addition and somehow I'm hooked on the multi-metal chains.

Honestly I've not yet found any cons! I absolutely LOVE carrying it! It's so easy and relaxed. I love the tweeds but have yet to see one that sings to my heart ya know? , I think with the Gabrielle you could just wear it, and move, and let it fall on it's own, embrace the gravity and you will be surprised of the way it clings on the body, if that make sense LOLOk a little intel. OMG, when will they be available?? I am in dire need of small Gabrielle for my concert/small errands bag. I went to the boutique to get the small navy/black one from the 1st batch but it was sold out already. I've told my SA to give me a call whenever it comes back as he said that the navy/black belongs to the classic colors and will be available every season. BUT, seeing those other beauties I am started to have doubts. Would it be foolish for me to have the large black/black and small navy/black? Should I wait for other colors?
Ah! The hard questions!! 17B will come in in August-ish, and 18C will come in around late September-ish. I don't know what to tell you! I am a fan of getting the really unique bags, after of course covering my basics. If you do want one of these little specialties, you should get on a list ASAP though!
What's the meaning of 17B and 18C? I am sorry if I'm being too foolish about the codes LOL
17B is Fall Act II (Fall/Winter)
18C is Cruise

The strap on the hobo Gabrielle is fixed, so it won't come off, but if you really wanna use it as a clutch you could always put the strap inside the bag and held the bag as a clutch. BUT the more interesting way to clutch the hobo bag is to wrap the strap around your wrist AND hold the bag as a clutch, thus giving you the clutch and bracelet look.
The only one (that I know so far) with the detachable strap is Gabrielle shopping tote, both the large and the smaller one.

I'm planning to use her day to night on light errands day I went to the boutique today and found a black-white tweed and and off-white tweed. I like the look of both tho they have very different personalities.
They are coming with a gray tweed as well
