Hello,

The Gabrielle’s base and corners are prone to wearing and scratching easily, and when it finally happens it is not pretty. I had two Gabrielle which I sold for this reason. I kept the tiny Gabrielle version with the open pocket in the center because it’s small and I think it will not bump as much.

I read some of you have peeling issues on the strap.

Checked on mine today and got the same issues too! Also saw some leather peeling at the corner of the bag beside the zipper.

For reference this bag was bought on Nov 2018 and is one of my most used bag.

Just called my SA and she said I can bring it down for repair but at my own cost (about SGD $400-$500 estimated)

So just a heads up for those buying preloved, pls check the leather on the straps carefully.

To be honest, really disappointed with the leather they used for this bag. Sigh.

Hi there! I know this is an old post but hopefully you'll get my message, or someone else does. :)

Wow that is a lot of wear on the strap. I just bought one from Rebag, the old medium size. I can't speak to anyone to do a check on the straps and of course their listing pics never show you details of any damage, but I went ahead and bought it as it's in " very good condition". I'm wondering could it be that the "leather" being feed through the chain links isn't leather? The pic of your strap showing the excessive wear looks like material underneath. Leather is skin, and leather will crack but not peel away or wear away like that. I'm just wondering if the straps are not leather. Mine should arrive this Friday. I'm hoping I don't have an issue with mine. Is there a certain series that we should avoid pertaining to this defect. Here is a pic of your picture. Is this leather?

I noticed the price of one I saved dropped considerably and bought it on Fashionphile. It was much nicer than described it's like new, I think I paid less than a third of the original price. I'm not sure why the price was so low considering it has no damage and still smells new inside and had the hardware protectors on. This is my 3rd Chanel from Fashionphile and they never disappoint me! I removed the straps because the two chains are too busy on my frame and I'm never going to wear it as a backpack! I'll probably open the d-ring at a later date and remove the tarnished silver chain but for now the pearls will do. 😊1000019021.webp

What a BEAUTIFUL bag! Love the pearls with it! Perfect with the metallic iridescent leather! :)
