Thank you! I had no idea. I'm kinda mad the SA didn't mention that. Can I ask how much the classic calf leather is? Also, is it readily available? I don't have a Chanel store near me, rather it's in Neiman or Saks. My first Chanel I purchased at Saks and loved my SA but she's no longer working there so I figured I would try Neiman (it's closer and easier to get to for me)~ now I don't think that SA deserves my sale since she didn't tell me about the different skins available.

Hi there, well I think this is new this season, and usually only the classic calf skin leather is available. I paid 3k USD. :)

Hello, I am very interested in purchasing the cerf tote (the medium size), and my Chanel only has 16XXX...bags. I heard there are 18xxx series out there...Does it matter what the serial number is? Has anything changed from 16series to 18series cerf tote? Thank you in advance!! :)

In case no one answered to this question yet, a Cerf tote costs AED 9990 tax free and currently they only have black available. By the way AED 9990 is about GBP 1700. Hope this help. On another note if you are travelling via T3 LHR, get your cerf there.. cheapest to buy Chanel in the whole world!

Yes! Chanel is tax free at Heathrow T3, call them before you travel they can hold a bag for you for 24hrs so call first to check stock. I recently came back from dubai and chanel fendi hermes are all more expensive there than in the UK. Hope that helps

I personally like the newer grainy leather better because it looks sturdier. My SA said that it would likely hold its shape better. The leather sort of reminded me of Hermes Togo grained leather. It's a lovely bag in any leather though!

I bought the black exec tote on Thursday in the new Melbourne boutique and I am in love! The leather is nubuck and has a larger grain and feels so buttery soft and smooth, similar to the Hermes togo style leather.

It cost $3,940 AUD

I will try and post a few photos here soon!
