i love my cerf tote, black with ghw, i have the older style with the 2 snaps at the end instead of the flap in the middle.
I agree with the detachble middle part is awesome, especially when you love switching bags. And the cerf is so roomy, i mainly use it when i travel because its elegant and subdued, and i can throw pretty much anything in there, even my laptop when im in a rush (i dont use it as a laptop bag though as mine is heavy!). But i know other ladies use it for their smaller and lighter laptops.
It looks nice as a handheld, on the crook of arm, on the shoulder. I dont use the longer strap but always have it there since you never know when you might need it...it looks nice with business attires, or simple jeans and tee, or whatever... well maybe not dainty dresses, lol.
its has got to be my fave chanel, actually... if they made this in red. whoa... id camp outside the chanel store lol.

Hi all - thinking about buying chanel executive cerf. which is the best = most durable and scratch and mark resistant leather: lambskin, deerskin or caviar leather? I plan to really use this bag as a work briefcase and it will get some abuse.

However I have just inquired a cerf to my Chanel family!
I won it on auction and it's from 2009... I won it for 1570 US is this a good snag?

Im hoping it looks as good IRL as it does in the photo. I have never tried on the Cerf so Im not too sure how its going to look on my 5'4 body!
I might save the colour till winter, I actually think it will look wonderful as a colour pop in the snow! I love the LV azur line in the Winter, so im thinking along those lines I suppose

travel&aspirin, handles can be worn on shoulder but it looks better on your arm or handheld. If you are referring to the detachable shoulder strap the cerf comes with, it is not long enough to wear cross body--I am 5' and short-waisted and I cannot pull it off convincingly. It looks very good with the long strap on your shoulder, then with the handles hung on the crook of your arm.

I love my Cerf Tote. I have the old style also, with the 2 snaps.
I bought it about 5 years ago, and it still looks great.
By the way, it did come in red when I bought my black with ghw. I'm sure that color will return.
My Chanel HG is a navy blue Cerf Tote. I am hoping someday they will come out with that color.
