I would love to know too-I had one with the cc's and I think it was the smaller version-really wish that I never sold it as now I would love to have it back!!!

I know the bag melts after wearing it, but does the bottom of the bag get softer? Cuz it seems a little uncomfortable on the shoulder when your arm rests over the bag. I second this question. I want to get the bag for my mummy's birthday (I've got plenty of time though), but I wanna know if it loosens up over time for a more slouchy look or if it remains boxy. She is an executive by profession and I think it would be nice to get her addicted to CHANEL and handbags in general. Now she can't imagine spending more than $250 on a bag :rolleyes: and tells me there are so many investments/projects that can be done with that money that I and others spend on bags. Also, did they change the leathers from the older versions as the new ones appear slouchier right out of the box. My mom likes to carry a lot of junk with her and I hear the cerf is naturally heavy. I'd hate for it to blow my dear ole ma's back out:laugh:. Can anyone comment on the weight + cargo of the bag too. Lastly, is it me or has the lip, where the clasp is, gotten thinner over the years?... I skimmed the previous pages. TIA!

I had an older version of this bag and then just recently purchased it again and I can say in general it seems like the same bag to me. I am so happy to have purchased this bag again :yahoo: I was thinking it was too simple and too boxy and " too Boring" but the minute it arrived and I unpacked it and loaded it up and wore it out of the house-I knew that I made a great choice-It is classy,understated & so easy to wear. I am sensitive to weight but do not find it heavy because the weight is evenly distributed.

Mine one year old is nice slouchy now I believe it'll get more though - I got it a few months ago from ebay. I dont use the pouch as it has plenty of pockets.
It weighs 930 kilogram - btw I'm 164 cm tall

Hi ladies,

I'd just like to ask if the 2 handles of the Chanel cerf tote get longer with prolonged use?

I've just bought one off ebay, and the handles appear slightly shorter than what's pictured by Cilifene above.

I've only carried mine 2x's but it accidentally got in a pic I was taking last week and the handles look very tall(long) and they have not stretched-they were like this from day one.

Hi LVLux,

Thanks for the photo there :)

I was wondering if you can snap a photo of the handles of your cerf tote, particularly the inner edges of the handle, where the leather rolls together and meet (if you get what I mean), so that I can compare with mine.

Somehow I feel a little uneasy about mine :(

The best thing for you to do would be to take pics of your bag/handles etc/ and post them on the Authenticate Chanel thread here on tpf and all of the pros would be able to tell you in minutes if yours is legit or not-that would be the way to confirm-they are always right so if it is the real deal-they can usually tell!
