Is the newest Chanel Executive/Cerf more slouchy or stiff? I haven't been to the Chanel boutique in awhile so I have not seen it. I wanted some opinions before I go there to look at it! Thanks!

^^Mpassan03: Not sure about that, but I have read that after a lot of use they'll become more slouchy.

I must admit that this style is growing on me more and more :nuts:.

I purchased the Cerf Executive in 2008 in dark brown from Saks. Although I love the bag, I recently decided to sell it after I spotted an Hermes Garden Party in a shade of brown I like better!
So I guess this answers the question of what colors it comes in! Aside from the brown I have, I've recently seen it in black, tan, white, python, black croc, red, light pink, grey and navy.

I have the larger Cerf tote.Although I love this bag Im sorry I got it in tan. I was trying not to buy another black bag, so I thought i'd go with tan but it not getting a lot of use because of the color...I'm pretty hard on my bags, so this one sits.

Can anyone out there who has recently bought the newest cerf tote tell us how is it holding its shape? Is it more stiff and holding it shape than the previous ones? I beleive the new leather is meant to hold its shape better. Thanks

Are the handles the same size on the old cerf and the new executive?? I feel like the new one is harder to get over your shoulders. But then again, it was full of paper in the store when i tried it on.

I am considering purchasing a Chanel Cerf tote. This would be my first Chanel purchase. I really just want one classic bag and this seems like a smart option. Originally I was considering a Berkin from Hermes, but after doing some research I actually think I like the Cerf tote better. I am going to look this weekend at the bag. Any thoughts before I go???

I find the Cerf tote too small for me, and compared to a 35cm Birkin it does not hold as much. However a birkin is a lot heavier empty so if weight is important to you then you want to go with the Chanel. You could always get the Chanel to use while you wait for a Birkin to come in since you could be waiting a while.

I had the Cerf and then returned it because I found it to be too heavy. I put my stuff in it and walked around my house for a few minutes with it on my shoulder and I felt it was just too much of a hassle to use. I returned it the following day. Many girls on here swear by the bag though and who knows, I may change my mind in the future and buy it again lol!

Love the Cerf. I have one in black with silver hardware. It is a classic and chic work tote that you will love forever. I do not find it heavy but I am used to carrying large bags. I'm not a fan of Hermes so my vote goes for Chanel!

I just ordered a black with silver hardware a couple of days ago! I bought it for myself for xmas. There are mixed reviews but I want a work/everyday bag that does not scream Chanel. I think it is the perfect bag. Plus, I love when it gets a little slouchy! I cannot wait for mine to arrive!

The Executive/Cerf was my first Classic bag as well with GHW. I wear it daily for work and it is extremely durable. Initially I was worried about the button closure, but it has worked out well enough. The cosmetic pouch is a pain though, it snaps off consistently - is my only complain. It is lighter than a Birkin and smoochy but not so smoochy that it collapses. I have no regrets.

im crazy for the bag! i sat through all 21 pages! LOL! im set on this bag. however can i just ask,

whats the difference between the cerf and the executive? im looking to get the larger one with the CC for work. which one is that and how much do they retail for these days.
