Thanks Nat! I am so smitten by mine I can hardly believe I did not get one sooner. I have to tell you, as I was agonizing and obsessing over this bag prior to purchase, yours was one of the pics in the reference thread I'd repeatedly look at and drool over .

Oh la la it is so scrumptious Scholastican! Beautiful!
Just looking at it makes me want black now..but we shall see how the beige holds up as a work bag. I know there is 'jean wear off' on chanels, but what about plain black work trousers?

WOW, congrats, it's going to be worth the wait. I saw a beige w/gh on NM shelf same day I purchased mine. Lovely! Word of warning though, I've seen one online and the interior is what I don't want mine to be. Spray the fabric interior with a water and stain protector as soon as you can...and wipe away the overspray on the hardware so it doesn't leave marks. That way you can keep it pristine. I love my Cerf Tote. I have the old style also, with the 2 snaps.
I bought it about 5 years ago, and it still looks great.

By the way, it did come in red when I bought my black with ghw. I'm sure that color will return.

My Chanel HG is a navy blue Cerf Tote. I am hoping someday they will come out with that color.

Oooohh, a red cerf ! Wow, that would be irresistible...I'd love a rich, deep brown cerf with gh. Now that would be my fall/winter dream bag *SIGH!

I'm only 18 and I wanted a more simple, would you say the chanel cerf is for all ages or more of a young or older design? And what colours are great in this bag?

I think it's for all ages. I used to think it was more for older women but I was sooo wrong. Case in point last weekend. I saw a lady walking down the street, wearing casual clothes and carrying a white cerf on her shoulder. It was so beautiful! I was in awe. Since then, I've been loving this style!

Me too, I think it's for all ages, a true classic .
As for the colour, I don't think you can go wrong whatever you pick because they're all lovely.
Do you prefer a dark or a light colour?

i used to think it's more for working ladies too until i saw some young hollywood stars, dressing in casual dress and carrying a cert tote! so, it's for any ages i feel

I have a cerf tote but it's pretty much lost all its shape. Its super slouchy and has no hope of ever regaining its shape. First question... Does everyone has this issue or are the newer bags different? Also does anyone know the price for it right now?
