Dictionary.com describes a troll as "A supernatural creature of Scandinavian folklore, variously portrayed as a friendly or mischievous dwarf or as a giant, that lives in caves, in the hills, or under bridges."
And from Scandinavia I am not.

I think, as theItBag put is so nicely three pages ago, people are presumed "trolls" on this forum when they become involved in a heated conversation. Doesn't matter how long they have been here, how many posts they have, or where else they have participated... they are now trolls. The term itself is offensive to most of us who have been called that. ;)

I have RARELY seen the troll word used here. And it most certainly does not happen every time there is a heated conversation as you imply.

You've stated several times that you are friends with the owner and like the product. We get it.

You may not have been part of a group to come running in here just to cause a ruckus but - unfortunately - it has happened on this board and I would daresay pretty much any board on the internet. I did not see anyone direct this accusation towards you.

You state uncategorically that no one is acting as a group. You cannot possibly know that. You are entitled to that opinion...but you don't know it as a fact.

If you don't want to mindlessly follow Vlad, then that is your perogative. I appreciate Vlad's information on Shining Monkey. I make a very mindful decision to not aide in the sells and promotion of businesses that are not up to par to my standards. That is the Hermes way.

The way I read Vlad's original post, it was meant for all the members (five thousand something) that they have here on PF!! It certainly wasn't meant just for you!!! If you don't like the information post, too bad and just ignore it then. However, bear in mind that there ARE other members who would appreciate it!

Vlad and the mods have done a great job bearing the best interests of most members in mind because if they were a slight bit selfish, they wouldn't have disclosed the information to avoid yet another drama. For this, I thank them wholeheartedly.

Having differences of opinion is one thing...but being snarky and attacking your hosts is something different altogether. Especially when the hosts had YOUR best interests in mind! :mad:

Lastly, I can't remember anyone talking about careers and kids, so I don't know where that part come from suddenly? I have a job and no I dont have kids, I'm not even married yet. Has nothing to do with the topic about SM.

The matter b/w Vlad and the SM owner is their biz. Vlad might not agree how the chick runs her biz, it ain't my problem. Some ppl will still buy SM, some ppl dont. Use the product at your own risk, simple as that. If the product is good, it will sell itself, I believe in that.
Now let's go back to talking about purses shall we.. I say I have enuff of this already! Ciao! :rofl:

Thanks Vlad for giving us full disclosure of the situation. That is basically what he has done. Now I can make an educated decision based on that. I for one will not have my pricey handbags used as guinea pigs for a product that has not had ample time to test it. For those who choose to use it, they are free to do so. Its pretty simple really.

I think trufflesbang is calling me & Carol the troll, since Carol and I were the first ones to speak up against this "warning". Oh well. It's okay, if not 100% fully agreeing with the mods and the "regulars" in here means that I am a troll, then so be it, I am a troll. :D So now that it's been established, stop talking about trolls and move on.

That is why SM will no longer be allowed to conduct business on our forum and she was banned.
