I guess we'll let Vlad decide. How 'bout that?

It's his thread and he's the owner of the website, I'm pretty sure if he wants it closed, he'll close it, K?

Now, if y'all want to continue talking about this thread's actual topic, go ahead;)

This, I don't like. I don't like the fact that they vouched for the product leading us to think that it came from an independent consumer. I am an independent consumer and liked what I got from the product and I certainly feel comfortable when others (not related to the company) have used the product and agrees with me. But not like this. I feel fooled somehow.

Thanks Vlad for letting us know too that someone have ruined their bags with the use of SM. So far I haven't ruined any of mine but I don't want to take the chance for the bags I am about to acquire.
Whoa there...who has ruined their bags with SM? I keep re-reading the first post and there's nothing about someone actually ruining their bag...

I wish I could find the cute little beating horse emoticon I saw before, it's needed here.

Why close it?
Because it's getting ridiculous. I've read through all 20 pages and if Vlad wanted to inform us then why not just post a sticky and have it locked? It doesn't seem like other opinions and thoughts are welcomed anyways.

Why are some threads which are suppose to inform us locked and some are left open?

Yea, why is it still left open? Because it's entertaining to read.

Close it? WHAT now? You want to censor this thread?
How is the thread being censored?

Guess Vlad can answer. Like I said, it's his thread, he'll close it if he chooses I 'spose.
I personally think the LV thread I linked should've been closed already . .

Ok, on topic here...:graucho:

I've never heard of Shining monkey, so i sure as heck must have never used it.

I've also never heard of Appleguard (?) or any of the others named.
I myself use Scotchguard, which i assume is the equivalent of the above mentioned?
I use the spray for my suede and leather shoes/boots, it works a treat for rainy days, i stood at a carnival for 3 hours in the pouring rain and my tootsies were as dry as a bone!

Personally, i prefer not to use products on my bags, the main reason being that once you've treated them, they never quite smell the same.
Not only that, i don't feel i could trust a spray or cream 100% not to stain my bag or know that it will totally protect it from the elements, dirt etc.

So, what do i do?

I look at the weather forecast instead...today was sunny so i took my Phoebe out for a jolly in the May sunshine :D

Whoa there...who has ruined their bags with SM?

You can read about it around page 7; here's part of it. If I am reading correctly, bag(s) were "messed up".......

Downplaying her involvement in Shining Monkey is also a waste of everyone's time. She did not disclose her affiliation with SM because some (let me quote) "retards" on another private forum messed up their bags with the product and asked for a refund. She didn't feel like dealing with possible retards on this forum - that is why she kept quiet. You Camry analogy doesn't hold here, she's far more than just a stockholder. She was business owner enough to promote her store, but not business owner enough to deal with customer support? Gimme a break.

MKP - you do realize that you're part of the reason this isn't dropping:blink:
Including the responses that were deleted {since they should be in PM, not here} you've posted at least 5 times since saying it should be closed:laugh:
If this thread is through, move on;)
