True... but after all it's just a name, I for one haven't been banned from anywhere and most of the other members haven't either. I have no control over the name chosen for the board before I joined it. It's an LV purse board - plain and simple. It's not a board where we all sit around talking about banning and trying to get banned !
we mostly talk about LV and now and again vent off as most normal human beings do. :smile1:

oh no, why? It is just my pen name....only to say there is no personal information attached to it...that's all! Just to explain my reasons for not wanting my personal information to be public, inspite of the fact that my pen name is public ...no worries! I am sure none few of us go by the names we use in this forum, in real life. Please don't let it disturb anyone....no need to worry! :rolleyes:

I mean i don't go by LondonBrat in the real world. I think by "pen name" you mean nickname.
I do go by my own name on this forum, I don't lie about it. If you ask me, I will tell you.
So I doubt the statement about no one going by their real name in the forum is rigt. Sure they use nicknames like "Lvbagsaretoohot". Naturally that is not their name, but I doub anyone would lie about it.

I mean the name I sign to my articles, yes, a nickname, if you like. Like you and your "nickname" certainly you don't want people knowing what stocks you own, your affiliations, or other private information...it is not a question of non-disclosure, it is a question of internet safety and how much of our personal information is attainable to whom and by whom. That is all. I was only asking to have my mind put to rest as to how the information was obtained. They have done that. I am fine with it,and I appreciate it. My personal private information, I have been assured by our administrators, will remain private…as will yours and the other members of this forum…and I am happy to know it. I guess I was a little “concerned” having come in after this mess and not knowing the facts, so I asked, they answered, and we should all be "ok" that our personal information is not that available.... I hope you understand….

WHOOPS. It wasn't in a pink box, so I thought these were your words. And I have superb reading comprehension skills, as well! :D With all these pages of bickering, one can hardly keep track of who said what. This entire thread has gotten completely out of hand, wouldn't you agree? I didn't want to come across as a *****, but I felt a little hurt that the original statement implied that anyone who had a differing opinion should leave. What makes online communities so great is that people have differing opinions and perspectives.

So, I guess I should redirect this toward whoever originally said it. Or not. It's really not worth us all arguing about. I'm a good person, despite my opinion on this particular subject.

That original statement was by me and it was geared towards those who seemed to have a really strong conviction of me not having done the right thing in this case. It was geared towards those that seem to have ignored the grounds on which my decision was made and kept on arguing that my motives were of different nature.

It's not just about a different opinion, everyone has the choice to think about events what they'd like. And those with a different opinion don't have to leave. I never said that. :idea: They have the choice to leave. But I guess that is a universal truth. Don't like the country you live in? Go live some place else. Don't like the job you work at? Find another job. And while those things may be a little more of a drastic nature, a free online forum is pretty easy to leave if you don't like the circumstances, the decisions or the ways things are handled. :flowers:
