WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a 33 year old mother of two with a full time career. I don't need ANYONE looking out for MY best interests thank you very much! I'm more than capable of taking care of myself

CLEARLY the point of the thread was to let tPF members know the TRUTH behind a certain situation. There is a vast difference from happening to use a product and telling people you like it, and coming on to a site and promoting a product for which you have a monetary interest in and will personally profit from said promotion. It's an ethical issue that Vlad and the Mods understand but is clearly beyond the grasp of some of the posters. I didn't realize being HONEST and ETHICAL was "shameful".

I've stated this before and I will state it again. We are here as guests of Megs and Vlad. There is a certain level of respect inherent in that, just as is expected when you are a guest in someone's home. Having differences of opinion is one thing...but being snarky and attacking your hosts is something different altogether. Especially when the hosts had YOUR best interests in mind!

The interests of a certain people does clearly not reflect the interests of others. It's the same story, deja vu at its finest. One of their friends got mentioned in a negative sense, and in they come running to show support and fight the injustice.

It's getting old.

Which btw I think is not very nice either. Having a different perception/opinion than the majority/mods doesn't mean one is a troll imo. Saying that does nothing but flaming the fuel.

No, it's very easy to grasp. I just don't take it the way you want others to. The PF members are only aware of your side of the story. Remember..... there are ALWAYS two sides and the truth usually lies somewhere in between.

Well, I came here to say, specifically, that while I know and am friends with a partial owner of Shining Monkey I am also a consumer that has tried the product and likes it. If it were something that would ruin my bags, I certainly wouldn't use it, or recommend it to others.

I am not "One of their" and neither is anyone else. People are speaking as individuals and not as a group collective. I am speaking for myself and do not take responsibility for others words, nor would I want to.

I think, as theItBag put is so nicely three pages ago, people are presumed "trolls" on this forum when they become involved in a heated conversation. Doesn't matter how long they have been here, how many posts they have, or where else they have participated... they are now trolls. The term itself is offensive to most of us who have been called that.

I'm allowed my own opinion. I didn't name any names. I can't help it if you think I am talking about you. Self-implication? Self-guilt? If I am mean, then you don't want to see me nasty. I still say trolls...trolls... All trolls should be banned. Calling people trolls certainly didn't help the situation. And then you threaten to "get nasty?" Who exactly are you speaking to? you quote one person but mention another person's "career and kids" comments. Or is anyone who disagrees a troll now?

Sorry to get off topic, I just notice a lot of people who have been on this board long enough to amass over a few hundred posts will call anyone a "troll" who doesn't agree with the general consensus in a thread.

Vlad and Mods did the right thing to inform us of fishy behavior. It is not the product, but the method to which the product is being advertised. It's good ethics and good conscience.

Absolutely not. I just laugh at the thought of mindlessly following Vlad because you say he has "my best interests" in mind. He doesn't know me or YOU from Eve! I can take care of my own best interests and have been doing so quite well.
