If you disagree with tPB rules and guidelines then leave permanently. No one is forcing a member to stay who has problems with the mods and their decisions on what can or cannot be done within this community. Those members who are disagreeing with the mods certainly belong to other boards where rudeness is apparently commonplace for their threads/posts. So take your disagreements and discussions there. Let the rest of us who like posting by the rules and guidelines set by tPB mods go about doing just that.

YOU SAID IT
I agree with that:D

Wow, I totally didn't know that! Thanks, but I think I'll stay :amuse:

Yes, he's a Miniature Schnauzer! He's no longer a puppy though, he turned 2 years old last Saturday :D That would make him...21 in human years! My little boy is all grown up

VipStyle, with all due respect, I beg to differ. What you're saying, in essence, is that nobody is allowed to have an opinion that differs from the mods'. You're also implying that since I disagree with the way this is handled, that I must be a hellraiser and/or proliferate rudeness. Looking back on my seventy-something posts here, I don't recall a single one that was rude or obnoxious. It's one thing to adhere to rules, and it's a completely different thing to adopt the opinions of others' for the sake of conformity. I don't mean any hard feelings by saying this, but your comment really took me for a loop. I don't think it's fair to be catagorized as a rude person or an unwelcomed bad girl just because I have an unpopular opinion. :shame:

Thank you for that Danielle!
BRAVO!

I should respect the mods but they don't need to respect me? WRONG!!! WRONG< WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a problem following the PF rules never said I did- but I certainly won't tolerate behavior that is unwarranted. Nothing I have said in any of the former posts were threatening, rude, or disrespectful.
I also see that some of the members *won't name names* have been less than polite when they disagree and sling mud. This is all so very one sided.     :graucho: :D

I signed on to this board earlier this year but hardly log on because the rudeness of some members here make me sick. I am NOT talking about new members but the ones that were here BEFORE me. Then another girl talked about buying a fake LV from a kiosk. The bag fell apart and she was refused a refund and then she wanted to report the seller for selling fakes to the authority. WTF? She knew the bag was fake when she bought it and only wanted to report the seller because she couldn't get a refund of her big fat $30??? Oh let's not forget the other one "claiming" she lost a expensive bag with $10K charity money in it or something.

Now VIPStyle, you claim there was no rudeness on this board before??? Think again!

Hi, lurker here - wow, my first post, in fact.

I can see the point of it being unethical to not disclose ownership, or part ownership, in a product you are promoting to people. I may not agree with banning the person, but I can see why it was done.

However, I don't see the point in banning the URL, or the apparent forbiddance of allowing people to discuss the product.

Hey Canadian Gal,

FYI, they may group you with the rest of the bad apples that joined in March. Be careful!:D

What do you mean 'they'? This is no us against them... sorry if people see it this way but everyone makes their own name for themselves.

So true, Megs. And several here have made quite a 'name' on this thread and others.

I admire your restraint!

I don't see a big deal or a conflict of interest. If I own a business that has thousands of products and I'm NOT the inventor of those products, I would want complaints/questions, etc. directed to the proper channels, namely the customer service department of the site in question. To that end, I don't see the problem in not disclosing ownership. As well, don't jump to the conclusion that she came to this site JUST to peddle Shining Monkey. She joined for the same reason anybody else did, to talk about handbags. She never brought it up, nor did anybody from "that other forum."

For example, If I own stock in Toyota, do you think that I want every idiot whose transmission went out on their Camrys calling me up to complain?

YES, I know the member in question and consider her a friend, but that doesn't mean that I'm blindly allegiant to anybody. I would argue this even if I didn't know the person and was just coming to this thread for the first time. The fact is that many members here are saying, "OH, thank goodness I didn't use it on my bag" when really the mods decision was made because of BUSINESS PRACTICES, not because of the product. They didn't agree with the fact that she didn't disclose herself; not with whether or not the product was good.

Use the product yourself and if you don't like it, fine. But, don't just go by what any person (mod or not) tells you.

As well, ask yourselves how many of you would find this so egregious, unscrupulous, and TERRIBLE if the mods weren't saying it was egregious, unscrupulous, and TERRIBLE.

John
