GK, how true, how true!!! I would have a whole closet full of H bags if it weren't for that darn horse! But --- there is nothing (and I mean NOTHING) that could give me the pleasure and Joie de Vivre that riding my horse gives me. By the way, I have been back in the saddle for only 6 years now, had to start pretty much from scratch at the tender age of 34 after a 20 year break, so if I can do it, you certainly can!

Bluefly's scarves are all real - the ones that I have seen. However,

1. The patterns & colorways are not the most desirable - they are probably excess inventory

2. The scarves sell as soon as posted on the web despite

3. The fact that they are not cheap $250 for silk twill ($325 at the H store where you have the best selection, get the box , booklet & goodies, can return it... ). There are better bargains on Ebay

4. The scarves are all brand new

I was thinking that we should have a thread on tying scarves/tied scarves -- almost a how-to guide?? I need it myself lol!! I hate to say since I must be done buying the bags for now....more scarves are definitely in the future! (oh and I'm 42 and have 2 horses as well!)

Wow, we have a lot of horse owners on this forum! I used to have a coworker who owns a horse. All of her salary basically goes toward the pony but that horse is sooooo lovable!

EVer used one as a sling when you had a fall out hacking and thought your collar bone was broken? I have!
very Grace Kelly.

I wasn't too into Hermes when I rode (I was young).....although I had heard about their saddles...have to say, no one I knew ever owned one, despite them being the same price as other saddled. I still have most of my old tack - a Bates Caprilli saddle, and I found my pony's double bridle under the house last weekend!!

I have broken 12 bones and knocked one of my front teeth out five times, thanks to Polo.......

I don't think there's a smiley for that statement lol! :wtf: Yikes!! Polo looks very hard but fun!

Oh and one horse is old and totally a companion horse....and the other dd used to show but stopped last year so not getting much use but I want to get back on - maybe when the kids go back to school!

I'm just asking if anyone has bought scarves from Jae_nomura on eBay. He/she seems to be selling quite a lot. Have recently bought from Fleursetcarlines and she was excellent. Thanks. :yahoo:

I need to start looking at these amazing threads on scarves which I had bypassed in the past as I'm a newbie when it comes to scarves--this is great information.

jae_nomura sells absolutely authentic vintage scaves. That said, I have not bought from that seller, so, I can say nothing about the condition being reported accurately or not. The shipping charges are reasonable. The start prices have always struck me as a bit on the high side, but, maybe that is just me....

I have never heard anything negative about the seller Jae_nomura in terms of authenticity. Apparently though she does not see all the scarves she is selling, this should be remembered. I agree with Marie, I also found her prices a bit steep, but if it works for her then good for her!
