Dear essiedub, I am glad I reminded you about your losange as it is very lovely, very elegant and fresh looking, very Audrey Hepburn Roman Holiday. Isn't losange a funny word? I suppose it also means lozenge, which makes me think of cough sweets?? Mine was of course an eBay rescue on the cheap as I am a sort of cut-price Mother Theresa of Scarves, I expect one day I will be recognised by the Pope as St Pudfish of Hermes for my work with unwanted scarves..
Hey St. Pudfish, any ability you have to multiply HS like loaves & fishes will be welcomed!

Well I'm not going to sound very original because am a HUGE Alice Shirley fan having every design she's done for women (and would consider Grrr in the right cw) and so scarf sisters to so many of you. Love my Annie Faivre scarves of course, though I have less than lots of regulars and I am totally gaga over so many Aline Honoré's designs being proud scarf sisters to quite a few scarfies here, including many of lanit's beautiful examples.

I can't decide who is my absolute favourite because I am a fickle child, so all I can say it depends. I wear my favourite scarf everyday, it's just a different favourite scarf.

I will therefore choose another favourite, Dimitri R or Dimitri Rybaltchenko. I just find his designs so diverse, mostly witty and of often graphically clever and he designs for H in so many ways. I have missed out on some I wanted including Cheval Surprise (no good cws for me) Hola Flamenca! which I must get one day Galop Volant which is so airy and Photo Finish (didn't get me finger out) and some designs are not quite me but still fascinating.

Here is Minuit, (the TBC part of Quand Soudain) of which I have 3 cws, all 70s. In this design I see SuperH coming to the rescue, giving me a little strength, beauty and purpose to my everyday days, often pressured, mundane and unrelenting. My scarves remind me none of 'this' really matters, only nature, craftsmanship and artistry. Commerce is a part of it but to be able to wear such tactile 'art' is worth every penny (don't tell H!)

Another design from the same season (SS14) Les Facéties de Pégase
I love Pegasus, who flew from the slain Gorgon, and of course he carried the god Hermes between the world of here and there, reality and fantasy, life and death. Pegasus is the fantasy and spirit version of the horse. I find this design so dynamic and I love this very DR of now you see me and now I'm just an abstract pattern

and for some reason this makes me think of my father as he was born the year of the Fire Horse

22 Jan 2017 MY FAVORITE SCARF ARTIST: show and tell us who and why you love him/her!

This week show us your favorite ARTIST
Who designs your scarves that look the smartest.
Carrés that make you smile inside
Whichever silly way they’re tied.

Have you seen a scarf and said “Oh wow --
I have to have that scarf right now”?
Love at first sight is sweeter when
You spot your favorite’s name again.

So off to your collection go
And choose the ones you want to show.
Favorite artists are so much fun
That you may have even more than one!

I’ve said it before and I haven’t changed – I think I’ll always be an Annie Faivre fan. My first scarf was one of hers and three of the last four I bought were too! Even when I don’t know the artist, when there’s something about a scarf that pleases me, it’s very likely to be one of Annie's. (Of course I have other favorites too, but I’m starting the week with Annie.)

I love the detail in her work – they almost look like doodles. There’s a very geometric flavor to them that I find extremely satisfying. I wonder if they remind me of books I had when I was a child? I wish I could draw like that! I think you could make one of those adult coloring books out of any of her designs. Look at these examples:
The animal parade on the border of Le Jardin de la Maharani (with the monkey leading the horse) as well as the linework in the paisleys:

Jardins d'Hiver -- look at the subtle shadows on the floor of the gazebo:

Voyage en Etoffes -- I love all the shades of blue to green in this one, and how the texture of the materials are shown

Here's my first Annie Faivre: Au Fil de Soie

And my latest ones:

You are wearing a beautiful lipstick color w/the black background Silk Road. And the scarves were great, too.

So sorry you're under the weather, weibandy. This Sieste colorway is magical, and I love the way you have it tied. Really shows off the dramatic pattern!

It really is kind of magical, isn't it. I literally could not resist it at the boutique. I am on the road to recovery, i hope! Thank you.

We are twins, weibandy -- this one makes me smile too! I hope you feel better soon...

Thank you bunnycat! Very well said! H can do that for us :)

I agree its very difficult for me to say my favorite H designer, but I will say Aline Honore gets a lot of my attention and I probably have an equal amount of AF and AH silks. I have not counted because it changes every year!

So here are a few of my very wearable Honore silks that I do love.... So far none have been released thus far so that tells me something about favorites, no?

Fabulous collection! Dimitri R. is also my fave H designer. I've only two by him [Minuit and Glitch] but so many of his past designs are on my someday list. He brings such a fresh look to H scarves whilst still retaining many of the classical equestrian elements.
