Hi all! Here is my Glitch worn casually! View attachment 3579789

Love this one, beautiful color combo!

Love it, I have 2 myself and they are so magnificent

Here's another 'man-on-scarf' scarf, I think he's splendid and proud

and it ties beautifully if someone (M or F) doesn't need to spotlight the theme

22 Jan 2017 MY FAVORITE SCARF ARTIST: show and tell us who and why you love him/her!

This week show us your favorite ARTIST
Who designs your scarves that look the smartest.
Carrés that make you smile inside
Whichever silly way they’re tied.

Have you seen a scarf and said “Oh wow --
I have to have that scarf right now”?
Love at first sight is sweeter when
You spot your favorite’s name again.

So off to your collection go
And choose the ones you want to show.
Favorite artists are so much fun
That you may have even more than one!

I’ve said it before and I haven’t changed – I think I’ll always be an Annie Faivre fan. My first scarf was one of hers and three of the last four I bought were too! Even when I don’t know the artist, when there’s something about a scarf that pleases me, it’s very likely to be one of Annie's. (Of course I have other favorites too, but I’m starting the week with Annie.)

I love the detail in her work – they almost look like doodles. There’s a very geometric flavor to them that I find extremely satisfying. I wonder if they remind me of books I had when I was a child? I wish I could draw like that! I think you could make one of those adult coloring books out of any of her designs. Look at these examples:
The animal parade on the border of Le Jardin de la Maharani (with the monkey leading the horse) as well as the linework in the paisleys:

Jardins d'Hiver -- look at the subtle shadows on the floor of the gazebo:

Voyage en Etoffes -- I love all the shades of blue to green in this one, and how the texture of the materials are shown

Here's my first Annie Faivre: Au Fil de Soie

What beautiful colours. That soft smokey brown/grey and then the turquoise against it, so lovely [emoji171][emoji171][emoji259][emoji259]

Gasping and I agree with ST. Pudfish; it reminds of the recent 140 Tigre Royale silk ! Would love to see this flat dear.

Indeed this is a perfect carré for this week, Croisette -- Les Parures du Vent ("Jewels of the Wind") is a collection of automobile hood ornaments. I've drooled over this pattern in the past but never saw it in this elegant colorway, or I'd have it by now! I would love to identify all the automobiles someday -- I did spot the Rolls-Royce "Spirit of Ecstacy," but will have to spend more time on the others. http://geekologie.com/2016/08/what-happens-if-you-try-to-steal-the-hoo.php
(and I thought we'd have seen Les Bolides and other automobiles by now...)

You look so gorgeous in gold!!!

I've never seen this design before- it's wonderful! Thank you for sharing.

What a beautiful design and elegant cw!! Thank you so much for sharing, dear Croisette!!
Thank you all for your nice comments! Here is it in full glory:

Only Hermès can made hood ornaments look so fascinating! :amuse:

View attachment 3582473 My scarf is in action, even if I am not! Home sick today and hoping the mysterious colors in this Sieste will help. Certainly making me smile.

I hope you feel better weibandy! You look fabulous even if you don't feel it!
Yesterday, in our stormy weather, I was cozy in fleece, and my Peinture Fraiche.

Fantastic ABQ! I'm going to enjoy reading everyone's choices this week! And I will see if I can't make a decision myself (that may just be too hard for me....) :)

Today with FLEURS DE LOTUS

IMG_3634.JPG Hard to really pick only one favorite designer, just like really hard to pick a single favorite scarf. Like Abq, I like Annie Faivre, and probably have more AF scarves than any other designer. However, I decided to feature my favorite of the new designers- Anne Shirley. Today I am wearing the first AS scarf I bought- ZEbra Pegasus.
I love all ocean/nautical and botanical themes, so later I will post my other 2 favorite designs from her- jardin Anglais and Under the waves.

This colorway is so beautiful on you. Alice Shirley is a favorite of mine too. Good choice.
