Well I'm not going to sound very original because am a HUGE Alice Shirley fan having every design she's done for women (and would consider Grrr in the right cw) and so scarf sisters to so many of you. Love my Annie Faivre scarves of course, though I have less than lots of regulars and I am totally gaga over so many Aline Honoré's designs being proud scarf sisters to quite a few scarfies here, including many of lanit's beautiful examples.

I can't decide who is my absolute favourite because I am a fickle child, so all I can say it depends. I wear my favourite scarf everyday, it's just a different favourite scarf.

I will therefore choose another favourite, Dimitri R or Dimitri Rybaltchenko. I just find his designs so diverse, mostly witty and of often graphically clever and he designs for H in so many ways. I have missed out on some I wanted including Cheval Surprise (no good cws for me) Hola Flamenca! which I must get one day Galop Volant which is so airy and Photo Finish (couldn't decide on a cw, too much choice) and some designs are not quite me but still fascinating.

Here is Minuit, (the TBC part of Quand Soudain and another I don't have) of which I have 3 cws, all 70s. In this design I see SuperH coming to the rescue, giving me a little strength, beauty and purpose to my everyday days, often pressured, mundane and unrelenting. My scarves remind me none of 'this' really matters, only nature, craftsmanship and artistry. Commerce is a part of it but to be able to wear such tactile 'art' is worth every penny (don't tell H!)

Another design from the same season (SS14) Les Facéties de Pégase
I love Pegasus, who flew from the slain Gorgon, and of course he carried the god Hermes between the world of here and there, reality and fantasy, life and death. Pegasus is the fantasy and spirit version of the horse. I find this design so dynamic and I love this very DR of now you see me and now I'm just an abstract pattern

and for some reason this makes me think of my father as he was born the year of the Fire Horse

So hard to choose a favourite designer - Annie Faivre, Aline Honore and Robert Dallet are probably my favourites but for this week I chose Dallet because I love cats and I love the way he draws them. So here is my little Dallet cat collection.

I have a few Dallets too, but soooo wonderful to see your enviable collection, he is inspirational. So proud to be your TB scarf twin too :ghi5:

I'm coming back so belatedly to thank everyone for all your nice comments and likes regarding my Quadricube!

Pudfish, to answer your question below, the scarf ring I used is actually a horn napkin ring. I purchased it at a local shop to use with scarves and shawls. Its inside diameter and height both measure 4cm. Any similar, lightweight napkin ring would likely work as well. I hope that helps!

Dear Etoile de mer, thank you so much for this information about your scarf ring, so kind of you. I am so impressed it is a napkin ring, how clever of you to find this, it is fab and looks just like MaiTai's but I suspect it is bigger. Note to my family: if you need me, you can find me in the homeware department of John Lewis doing important scarf research. [emoji125]‍♀️

Dear Scarf Mistress
Thank you for another wonderful introduction and thank you for this sumptuous display of AF designs. Gorgeous! I love the Jardin des Marharjaris with the animals on the border, am I on a total spending ban but have decided to sell my teen boys off for medical experiments requiring multiple bacteria and smelly feet, to buy this scarf.

I have the same colourway of Voyage en Etoffes and I love all the details of the different fabrics.
