Interesting. For me it’s the opposite. Perhaps don’t overthink the 90 format, just tie them and enjoy.Thank you, dear Maedi. I appreciate your compliment more than I can say. I confess that I enjoy the smaller scarves more than the 90s. They are just easier to work with. I worked on a knot for a 90 I intend to wear tomorrow and it was awful. I believe I will wear it but will I give it the glory the scarf should have? We’ll see.
Very impressive growth, such beautiful additions, Jac1!Thank you to all scarf mistresses for a fun year of SOTD. I am truly thankful for this kind and supportive community!
I took a family foto of my lil scarf family in preparation for this week - albeit it does not include my latest X-mas additions. And last years picture to show the growth of my collection

The category I have been embracing most this year have been the cashmeres. I just love the coziness of my GT or GMs.
The Oscarf of the year therefore goes to my Botanical Grafica which is so easy to wear and has in a short amount of time picked up a lot of neck time

But of course also my silk collection has grown. The most unexpected successful find has been my L‘art Indienes des pleines - which was coincidental also a total bargain. So the Oscarf for silk goes to this beauty!

I hope everyone here has fun celebrating NYE and a good start into the new year!
Here you go @redheaddem! I hope these are helpful. Sorry for the differences in lighting, these are the only pics I have handy wearing them. If I could only have one, I would pick the caramel because I love how dramatic it is (especially with black, which I wear a lot). This one is always complimented when I wear it out. However, the hints of electric blue in the other one are also special. I find them both to be beautiful pairings of color and design.

I added a lot to my collection this year so the Oscarfs is a tough one for me as there are many I love, but today I’m going with Jungle Love Forever.
Initially, I wasn’t as drawn to the classics but after seeing how special some of the older designs and detail + shading are, I’ve fallen down yet another scarf slide.

SOTD Robe Legère but then I decided not to wear it for fear of drippy foods.

"Resistance is Futile" was the theme of a number of my scarf acquisitions this year. One lesson I have learnt from buying placeholders is that, sooner or later, I will cave and buy the cw I really want. It's difficult to hold back sometimes. There is a design I really want in navy blue. I came across the black cw recently at an excellent price. It took a massive amount of willpower to say No, stop, do not click BIN, go straight to jail!
The winner of the RiF Oscarf is Into the Canadian Wild SE.

I've always wanted it but Canada is a long way from here. I remember @momasaurus driving over the border to buy it. Makes me wonder, if H released a special edition available only in Malaysia or Indonesia, or even Thailand, would I hop on a plane to get it?
I resisted this scarf for years and kept telling myself that I was happy with my red/green cw. Ha! This year, I caved. I have to admit that meeting Alice Shirley changed my mind about a couple of scarves. She was passionate about DuJA and could name every animal on ITCW. It opened my eyes and thus, this final capitulation was only to be expected
First time out of the box today: my new-to-me ITCW, winner of the RiF award!

I'm sure you will find one sometime, Jereni. Both are delicate wintry beauties but I esp love that VdF!!! It screams Arctic, somehow.
That PdL is just smashing!!! Ok, I MUST know - where do you buy all your fabulous sweaters? The knit pattern of that mustard yellow one is calling to me.
Sisters on Emile!!! That’s a very fun cw also.
Uggghhhhhh just bought this in the future. Thankssss….
Absolutely epic! I doubt I will ever find one of these in the shawl format and just swoon every time I see one.
Both are amazing grails! I think I will have to copy you and Glo with your Sieste shawls, they are so stunning and eye-catching.
Excellent choices!!! Yay for twinning on the red d’Orphee. I so wish we could twin on the orange/blue shawl as well but I don’t think it lights my heart aflame.
A trio of pink beauties, well done! And congrats on the Emile, we are twins on that one.
It’s so exquisite, glad to hear you are getting so much use out of it!
This is so charming with the denim top! And looks great with your hair.
Both are stunning on you!My 2024 Oscarf for What the Heck Was I Waiting For??!! goes to Ex Libris en Kimonos. I acquired two this year and they are both exquisite and amongst my favorites. I am hoping to obtain several more cws, at least in the 90.

It is magnificent on you, redheaddem!I have a special fondness for floral designs and cashmere shawls.
The Oscarf for Best Floral of 2024 goes to Tulipomanie giant triangle 🎉🥳🌷
It is a design that many seemed to love this year.
I also nominate mine for most debated colourway for me 😋but I am so happy I finally settled for this monochrome version.
Unfortunately it also wins the Oscarf for the shawl I managed to snag the first time I wore it outside 🥲 but I hope to be able to fix it soon.

That’s exactly how I wear most of my scarves but I would like to sometimes wear my gorgeous 90s in one of those beautiful, elegant knots.Interesting. For me it’s the opposite. Perhaps don’t overthink the 90 format, just tie them and enjoy.
Congratulations, @darkstar66, it is a beauty and a moussie I have always admired. I love moussies but I don’t have many. When I first saw this mousseline on this thread, I wanted to have it instantly and looked for it online and in the H boutiques, but it was not available in my country. Months later it appeared on reseller sites, at horrendous prices - no way for me. Then, some weeks ago, there was one in mint condition with tags at a reasonable price and I asked for the opinion of @Cookiefiend and @LKBNOLA regarding its versatility and after their enthousiastic replies I bought it.
I award Jungle Love 140 mousseline the oscarf for the Most Ethereal Wildlife Love Story. It is just tremendous, I love it!
To all of you, a happy Night of New Year's Eve! I am so proud to have found the courage to join this amazing community and thank you all of your friendly welcome!View attachment 6109458View attachment 6109459View attachment 6109460

The proof of the pudding is in the eating-- or in Scarflandia, it is in the mod shots @PoliticalGal -- both are beautiful on you and as you say, they suit your wardrobe and look lovely with your blonde hair and bold lippie! Here you go @redheaddem! I am the opposite as well @Karenska-- I find it much harder to get the smaller formats to fall casually and perfectly as you do. I love working with 90s because for me, I have the full range of tie and go or working a bit to highlight a design aspect and the origami-like pleasure of more structured knots. Learning knots was a great pandemic pastime for me and I still love it, though find myself relying on a smaller range of simpler ties for everyday life versus mod shots...Thank you, dear Maedi. I appreciate your compliment more than I can say. I confess that I enjoy the smaller scarves more than the 90s. They are just easier to work with. I have loved seeing your collection grow @Jacq1!!! So many beauties and so lovely styled and tied, too. Happy New Year! Here's to more scarves in 2025...and bespoke outfits in your closet!Thank you to all scarf mistresses for a fun year of SOTD. I am truly thankful for this kind and supportive community!

I love this R-i-F category @xincinsin! Congratulations on the Oscarf, the Scarf and the Debut!
