It is late in the day, but I am sharing my SOTD and my SOTE as we head out for one more candle and dinner tonight. I know I am off topic but my holiday scarves are so loved and yet their time of wearing is so limited...
Neige d'Antan Detail -- thrilled to have this lovely holiday jacquard

And tonight I am wearing a favorite shawl for the season: La Vie du Fleuve by Aline Honore
View attachment 6108288
And with a huge thank you to @xincinsin for her marvelous, beautiful and educational hosting, I will close with three recent mod shots of scarves that I believe actually are on topic! I don't think Sylvia Kerr has designed more than these two?
Fleurs d'Ecosse and Parade de Leonhardhi

And perhaps there are more, but I believe Houtin has only designed five or six? In my collection I have two nineties: Fantaisie Pittoresque and Jardin de Metamorphoses and three CSGM: Les Cabanes, Jardin de Leila au Bloc and this new and beautiful All'Orto Botanico di Palermo! (bonus leather wrapped CdA Sellier in Rouge H scarf Ring!)

Thanks for indulging me friends and thank you all again for another wonderful week!
Popping in late with Carre Kantha - I think the only design by this ‘group’?

Not on theme today. I wanted to wear Sieste au Paradis. Unfortunately I managed to snag it on my necklace on my way out of the door, to my enormous annoyance, so the mending kit will need to come out later.

I love Oscarf Week because it is such a great prelude to New Year's Scarf Resolutions. Now I can look back and see all the resolutions I failed to keep from 2024while at the same time, giving myself awards for the bounty all those broken rules yielded!!!
But here's my first category, which is nothing but pure joy and the satisfaction of a long hunt finally yielding silk gold...

Good morning and happy Awards Week, Scarflandia! I was visiting with my older grandchildren last night and had some help showcasing my Oscarf for Best Design 2024: Sous le Charme d'Orphee. This year I acquired another cw of the beautiful silk double face (twins with @Jereni and @Cookiefiend) as well as my favorite CSGM, the beautiful terracotta, cobalt blue and grey CSGM. Later in the season my DD and I decided that the caramel was not to be resisted so we are sharing that, which is in her rotation at the moment (she also acquired the blue-- so our Orphee love is a family affair 💙🧡). Thank you for indulging my collage addiction!

Good evening!!
This year have been a year of many attempts to not add scarves to the collection - all of Them has been remarkably unsuccesful. It seems like all the designs I have been looking for for years decided to just waltz by and tempt me in 2024.
A few of the nominees for personal grail of the year are
Voyages de Pytheas, Shackleton and Cosmographia universalis. I might have reached my quota of fantastic pink worlds

My sotd was Mystere au 24 - one of the few I picked up from the store this year besides the avalanche of preloved treasure hunting.
View attachment 6109060
I wore it to meet a friend to have a last minute peek at the H store today.
The result: I Can now definitively point to the winner of My Last Scarf of the Year.
Heavily inspired by many of you and with a sigh of relief of the background color being silvery and not white, I brought home Emile et une nuit. Really no one would have believed I could resist those lovely creatures and colors…

Tomorrow will be a day of intensive cooking and eventually celebrating with Good friends, so this is my last post this year. Thank you all for your kind words, compliments and wonderful and effective enablement - I wish you all a very happy New Year!!!
First scarf purchased in 2024 was the Le Jaguar et colibri CSGM. It is also my most worn shawl this year. View attachment 6109137
My award for 90cm scarf of the year is an easy one because it’s the only one I bought this year - Hermes Flagship! My collection is mostly shawls, with only a handful of scarves thrown in over the years. I love how sumptuous and glossy the silks look but they often feel too “fussy” for my life. I work, but mostly from home, and then am running around with my (still quite little) kids when I’m not working. I wasn’t sure if I would ever add another 90cm to my collection but had to have this as soon as I saw it in the boutique. I’ve thought of framing it, but I might give it and the few others in the back of the scarf drawer another try with some of the ideas I’ve seen on this thread for wearing scarves more casually.

Yes, it's Les Renards.
View attachment 6108815
I've wanted this since I first saw it way back at the start of my orange journey. And that first one I encountered was a special edition priced at $6kSubsequent encounters with this elusive beauty were always fleeting, until this year when a friendly seller offered it to me at a non-heart-attack-inducing price
Congrats, Les Renards, you win the Oscarf for Longest Hunt
The second award for Most Pleasant Surprise goes to Les Jardins d'Armenie. Karen Petrossian did 2 designs to celebrate Armenian culture. I really liked both. Lettres d'Erevan is a CSGM, so it was on the maybe list (tropical weather limit on any greed for cashmere). So I decided several years ago to get the 90 Les Jardins. I hit a roadblock for 2 reasons: I'm not a big fan of tiny florals and have skipped several wonderful designs because of this personal preference. Second reason is that the ones in good condition and acceptable price point were not in cws I liked. I finally sprung for the pink, although it looked kind of dull in the seller's photos. I was Most Pleasantly Surprised when a vibrant candy pink arrived!
View attachment 6108813
Honest admission: I still want Lettres, so if ever that lands in my hands, it would be Oscarf-worthy too!
My third award is the Take A Chance on Me Oscarf which goes to the work of another Karen: L'Arbre de Vie by Karen Swildens. Yes, not the L'Arbre of the same name by Christine Henry. I saw it on a reseller site a few years back and was assured that it wasn't some knock-off design. It was, however, the pics were bad, the price was too high to risk it and I wasn't enamoured enough to risk it. I picked it up this year and I'm delighted. @marietouchet identified thus as a Scandinavian Tree of Life. I haven't had the time yet, but I'm definitely going to delve into the folklore behind this.

Start handing out the awards, everyone! It's time for a lookback. In a year when RL has been less than peaceful, take joy in the little things of life. The Carpe Diem award, anyone?

Voitures has such elegant lines and swirls. It’s so nice that you found your CSGM workhorse. They are priceless.2024 was the year that I finally embraced the CSGM. Four have entered the collection, including the two on the right that haven't been worn yet.
Here are the nominees for CSGM of the Year.

From Left to Right we have:
Voitures en Equilibre - Daiske Nomura
I'm a big Nomura fan, and I was eyeing the little dragon cart in the 45 version for ages. I finally decided to go big with this design.
View attachment 6109066View attachment 6109070
Le Livre d'Esope - Matthieu Cosse
This pretty arrived yesterday, and yes, @LKBNOLA, there is a pink elephant.
View attachment 6109076View attachment 6109072
High Flyer - Dimitri Rybaltchenko
I've been wanting this cockpit shawl for ages, and it finally came along in my favorite colorway. While this is a helicopter, the cockpit is not unlike the small aircraft that I flew. I'm looking forward to wearing this scarf a lot.

Sous le Charme d'Orphee - Alice Shirley
After finally succumbing and obtaining two of the double face 90s in the second half of the year, I hurried to pick out a CSGM before they were sold out. This is a very special design.
View attachment 6109073
It turns out that I wear the Voitures en Equilibre nearly every time I leave the house. So far our winter weather has been mild, having gone below 0 F only once. To answer @darkstar66, we had several inches of snow for Christmas but it has all melted away. My Voitures has turned into an everyday workhorse.
The Oscarf for the CSGM of the Year, being the Most Worn Scarf this winter, is Voitures en Equilibre. Here is my scarf of the day mod shot.

Beautiful collection and impressive collage making techniques! I agree that it was the best design of the year. I bought it in caramel and in blue and have so far resisted the terracotta - which I think is so special with the soft green hem, but did not look anywhere near as good on me as the other two.Good morning and happy Awards Week, Scarflandia!
