Oh, thank you @Lellabelle! What a treat to see the details int he corners... sigh. Congratulations again on this beauty. The fact that purple lilies were your wedding flower is *chef's kiss*
You’re most welcome, dear LKB. It did feel remarkably serendipitous 💜
Well what does a Robot Samurai need to make life complete? Why a silver mythical steed, of course! Wearing Wild Rhythm this morning with Pegase scarf ring... Happy Sunday and counting down to New Year's Eve, Scarflandia!

This ties fabulously
Good afternoon !
I have been mia due to a short trip to Sweden with DH - museums, Good food and shopping local specialities - saffron tea, cardamom biscuits, lingonberry jam and other bare necessites 😉
Only wore Grand carosse royal on our get away but it is on theme as Claus Schierbeck has only made this one design. Photo from the train ride back West.
View attachment 6108596
And last week I wore Dominik Jarlegant: Madras a Zakynthos - it might also be on theme as I do not know of other by this designer (?)
View attachment 6108597
Wish you all a lovely last Sunday of the year!
Sounds like a great (and delicious) trip
Thank you sweetie! It is one of the souvenirs… the other is waiting impatiently for its debut! ❤️
Looking forward to seeing it.
Thank you for your kind comments, Maedi. LKBNOLA and Lellabelle! And @xincinsin - thank you for your top hosting this week!

Apologies for not participating more these last weeks. Life at work is incredibly busy at the moment, and I spent my week off to relax (with some family visits for the holidays). Tomorrow back to work and a busy schedule with next weekend on call (but New Year’s Day off work!).

And for those who wondered: no sequel this year to last year‘s present from Mr Agrume, the DIY handbook… no orange box either for me (for him, yes, a tie with little 🐉).
Lol, I remember the post well - Mr. Agrume’s gift was superb! He’s such an imaginative one 👍
this afternoon with ELeK

Stunning. And that CDC, too! :girlsigh:
Good morning and happy Awards Week, Scarflandia! I was visiting with my older grandchildren last night and had some help showcasing my Oscarf for Best Design 2024: Sous le Charme d'Orphee. This year I acquired another cw of the beautiful silk double face (twins with @Jereni and @Cookiefiend) as well as my favorite CSGM, the beautiful terracotta, cobalt blue and grey CSGM. Later in the season my DD and I decided that the caramel was not to be resisted so we are sharing that, which is in her rotation at the moment (she also acquired the blue-- so our Orphee love is a family affair 💙🧡). Thank you for indulging my collage addiction!
View attachment 6109043
I love the collage backdrop. Orphee is Oscarf worthy is all CW and formats.
This is a great Oscarf! I've got to think about this one. I tried to be a good girl this year  but my first purchase was on 2 Jan 2024, so it was very much "Resistance is Futile"
Haha, me too. I also caved on January 2nd. If my resolutions for 2025 include making it more than 24 hours before purchasing a scarf, I’ll already be doing better than this year 🤣
Good evening!!

This year have been a year of many attempts to not add scarves to the collection - all of Them has been remarkably unsuccesful. It seems like all the designs I have been looking for for years decided to just waltz by and tempt me in 2024.
A few of the nominees for personal grail of the year are
Voyages de Pytheas, Shackleton and Cosmographia universalis. I might have reached my quota of fantastic pink worlds

My sotd was Mystere au 24 - one of the few I picked up from the store this year besides the avalanche of preloved treasure hunting.
View attachment 6109060
I wore it to meet a friend to have a last minute peek at the H store today.
The result: I Can now definitively point to the winner of My Last Scarf of the Year.
Heavily inspired by many of you and with a sigh of relief of the background color being silvery and not white, I brought home Emile et une nuit. Really no one would have believed I could resist those lovely creatures and colors…
View attachment 6109062
Tomorrow will be a day of intensive cooking and eventually celebrating with Good friends, so this is my last post this year. Thank you all for your kind words, compliments and wonderful and effective enablement - I wish you all a very happy New Year!!!
Superb choices, all. You’ve had a stellar year for ensnaring grails. You have to take the opportunities when they come though, right?
2024 was the year that I finally embraced the CSGM. Four have entered the collection, including the two on the right that haven't been worn yet.

Here are the nominees for CSGM of the Year.

View attachment 6109064

From Left to Right we have:

Voitures en Equilibre - Daiske Nomura

I'm a big Nomura fan, and I was eyeing the little dragon cart in the 45 version for ages. I finally decided to go big with this design.

View attachment 6109066View attachment 6109070

Le Livre d'Esope - Matthieu Cosse

This pretty arrived yesterday, and yes, @LKBNOLA, there is a pink elephant.

View attachment 6109076View attachment 6109072

High Flyer - Dimitri Rybaltchenko

I've been wanting this cockpit shawl for ages, and it finally came along in my favorite colorway. While this is a helicopter, the cockpit is not unlike the small aircraft that I flew. I'm looking forward to wearing this scarf a lot.

View attachment 6109069View attachment 6109067View attachment 6109065

Sous le Charme d'Orphee - Alice Shirley

After finally succumbing and obtaining two of the double face 90s in the second half of the year, I hurried to pick out a CSGM before they were sold out. This is a very special design.

View attachment 6109073

It turns out that I wear the Voitures en Equilibre nearly every time I leave the house. So far our winter weather has been mild, having gone below 0 F only once. To answer @darkstar66, we had several inches of snow for Christmas but it has all melted away. My Voitures has turned into an everyday workhorse.

The Oscarf for the CSGM of the Year, being the Most Worn Scarf this winter, is Voitures en Equilibre. Here is my scarf of the day mod shot.

View attachment 6109063
Great choices, each one. The high flier has to be my favourite - it’s such a dynamic design and so perfect for a pilot. It was meant to be yours.
My award for 90cm scarf of the year is an easy one because it’s the only one I bought this year - Hermes Flagship! My collection is mostly shawls, with only a handful of scarves thrown in over the years. I love how sumptuous and glossy the silks look but they often feel too “fussy” for my life. I work, but mostly from home, and then am running around with my (still quite little) kids when I’m not working. I wasn’t sure if I would ever add another 90cm to my collection but had to have this as soon as I saw it in the boutique. I’ve thought of framing it, but I might give it and the few others in the back of the scarf drawer another try with some of the ideas I’ve seen on this thread for wearing scarves more casually.

Well, this is too great to remain in the closet! It’s such a lively pop on colour on denim. This is definitely one you could style up or down as needed.
I have a special fondness for floral designs and cashmere shawls.

The Oscarf for Best Floral of 2024 goes to Tulipomanie giant triangle 🎉🥳🌷

It is a design that many seemed to love this year.

I also nominate mine for most debated colourway for me 😋but I am so happy I finally settled for this monochrome version.

Unfortunately it also wins the Oscarf for the shawl I managed to snag the first time I wore it outside 🥲 but I hope to be able to fix it soon.

View attachment 6109182View attachment 6109188
This is such a quiet beauty. The monochrome palette whispers, but the design makes a statement. It’s looks amazing with jeans and a sweater, but would equally look polished on a little black dress. That’s versatility.
Thank you to all scarf mistresses for a fun year of SOTD. I am truly thankful for this kind and supportive community!

I took a family foto of my lil scarf family in preparation for this week - albeit it does not include my latest X-mas additions. And last years picture to show the growth of my collection

View attachment 6109434
View attachment 6109435

The category I have been embracing most this year have been the cashmeres. I just love the coziness of my GT or GMs.

The Oscarf of the year therefore goes to my Botanical Grafica which is so easy to wear and has in a short amount of time picked up a lot of neck time
View attachment 6109437

But of course also my silk collection has grown. The most unexpected successful find has been my L‘art Indienes des pleines - which was coincidental also a total bargain. So the Oscarf for silk goes to this beauty!
View attachment 6109436

I hope everyone here has fun celebrating NYE and a good start into the new year!
what great additions this year, and two enviable Oscarfs, too!
"Resistance is Futile" was the theme of a number of my scarf acquisitions this year. One lesson I have learnt from buying placeholders is that, sooner or later, I will cave and buy the cw I really want. It's difficult to hold back sometimes. There is a design I really want in navy blue. I came across the black cw recently at an excellent price. It took a massive amount of willpower to say No, stop, do not click BIN, go straight to jail!

The winner of the RiF Oscarf is Into the Canadian Wild SE.
View attachment 6109426
I've always wanted it but Canada is a long way from here. I remember @momasaurus driving over the border to buy it. Makes me wonder, if H released a special edition available only in Malaysia or Indonesia, or even Thailand, would I hop on a plane to get it?

I resisted this scarf for years and kept telling myself that I was happy with my red/green cw. Ha! This year, I caved. I have to admit that meeting Alice Shirley changed my mind about a couple of scarves. She was passionate about DuJA and could name every animal on ITCW. It opened my eyes and thus, this final capitulation was only to be expected :shrugs:

First time out of the box today: my new-to-me ITCW, winner of the RiF award!
View attachment 6109438
Hooray, twin!
Isn’t it a wonder? And you got to meet Alice, too!:stars: :faint:
When I first saw this mousseline on this thread, I wanted to have it instantly and looked for it online and in the H boutiques, but it was not available in my country. Months later it appeared on reseller sites, at horrendous prices - no way for me. Then, some weeks ago, there was one in mint condition with tags at a reasonable price and I asked for the opinion of @Cookiefiend and @LKBNOLA regarding its versatility and after their enthousiastic replies I bought it.
I award Jungle Love 140 mousseline the Oscarf for the Most Ethereal Wildlife Love Story. It is just tremendous, I love it!
To all of you, a happy Night of New Year's Eve! I am so proud to have found the courage to join this amazing community and thank you all of your friendly welcome!:hbeat:View attachment 6109458View attachment 6109459View attachment 6109460
So glad you joined us in Scarflandia this year! The JL moussie is fabulous on you, many congratulations on finding this beauty!
Today I will go with various ‘grail’ Oscarfs:

Winner of Best Mini Grail goes to Minuit au Faubourg. These colors are my absolute DREAM.
View attachment 6109549

Best ‘Patience is a Virtue’ Grail goes to Jaguar Quetzal. I stalked this for awhile from a reputable eBay seller but it had a prominent mark on it and I just didn’t want to pay anywhere close to retail for that. And eventually it popped up on TRR for less and with no imperfections, yay!
View attachment 6109550

Most Nerve-wracking Grail Acquisition is awarded to my long coveted Acte III 90. Hadn’t seen this anywhere for months, nabbed it for under retail on Vestiaire, it arrived in a rainstorm while I was on travel and I had to coordinate with my dad (from Budapest no less) to come over and open it and air it out so it wasn’t ruined. Phew!
View attachment 6109552

Most Unexpected Holy Grail goes to … Maîtres de la Foret, which I’d given up on ever finding, but was tipped off to by a lovely TPF-er and now this beauty is mine!!!
View attachment 6109554
You get my Oscarf for grail-huntress extraordinaire, dear @Jereni .
In 2024, I only bought one CSGM, but it was a long sought after design and cw. This was the shawl that made me discover Hermès shawls and scarves. I saw a photo of it online by chance somewhere, did my research and discovered the world of Hermès 😋 Unfortunately, it was already sold out everywhere at the time. I was thrilled when I found it this fall on the aftermarket in really good condition and for a reasonable price too.

So the Oscarf for favourite CSGM for 2024 goes to my coral Faubourg Tropical 🧡❤️🎉

I have been wearing it today and also earlier this week, on a city trip to The Hague, were I finally saw The girl with the pearl earring by Vermeer.

I wish you all a very happy New Years Eve dear scarfies, and al the happiness in the world for 2025 ❤️

View attachment 6109556View attachment 6109557
Another sublime beauty of a shawl. They suit you so well.
The Vermeer is beautiful, thank you for sharing this trip highlight with us!

And this one gets a separate post but - coming in at the 11th hour of the 2024 Grail Year …. Biggest !Score! Grail is ye most epic of shawls…. Acte III!!! In the purple and pink! Snatched this off Vestiaire for almost half of current retail prices, ladies, and in never worn condition!!!! Over the moon as you can imagine (#seewhatididthere).

what a showstopping late entry - I love this on you 💕!
I got a special grail delivery yesterday too, but it’s in the vault already, so I’ll save it for a future reveal.
I will revert back to Oscarf Mode by tomorrow but just popping in to thank the Scarf Mistresses and this whole community for another wonderful year of friendship, fun, beauty, companionship and interesting information relating not only to our passion for silks but just generally speaking-- I cannot express how much I appreciate this thread and each and every one of you. May 2025 bring peace, happiness, good health and of course, a wonderful continuation of each of our scarf journeys.
Going full on bright for a casual celebration this evening!

Happy New Year dear Scarfies!!!
Just WOW! I couldn’t love this more. Bookmarking and taking notes. You ROCK this look, ‘Nola!!
I struggle participating this week although I adore the theme and everyone’s selections and contributions. It’s hard for me to pick the one of the year but I will try.
This one was a late addition, sold out on US .com, overpriced and in limited color selections at the usual sites. When traveling over the summer, I was able to have it sent to me from the Euro .com site. Douze Léopards df in a ten minute window of sun rays.

It’s such a playful, happy design and so pretty in this pink CW. Glad you were able to find one - it’s just gorgeous on you! 💜

Dear silky Friends
It is such a joy to be able to enjoy this thread, dear Scarfies, You are such a kind, generous, friendly, witty and diverse "crowd". Thank You all for that so much! May Year 2025 be healthy, peaceful and joyful to You all and to Your dearest and nearest, and may there be around You many wise and kind people. Sending You all big, big hugs!

Happy new year and a good slide into 2025 as we say. ❤️🎉🫶

Sending you all in Scarflandia wishes for a happy and healthy New Year.
You all make this thread such a great place - a place where we share our love and joy for these lovely slips of silk, cheer each other up with laughter and wonderful splashes of color… and sometimes cause our wallets to run and hide under the bed. :giggle:
Happy New Year, you marvelous wonderful group of people. :hugs:

Happy New Year to everyone! Thank you to all the scarf mistresses whose generosity, creativity and time are so greatly appreciated! This would be the year of my least engagement with you all sadly but hope to have more time next year.
This silken community is so wonderful and am so happy to have found you years ago 🥂.
Our lovely Scarflandians have said this so beautifully that there’s little to add, except a wholehearted endorsement of these beautiful sentiments. The silks and shawls we cherish are beautiful, but the people here shine brighter still.

Wishing everyone a bright, hopeful, healthy and happy New Year.
We need a running wallet action emoji on here ha. So I am going to reel it in for 2025, that’s my resolution!
Lol, yes we do!
I will be twinning with you on that resolution! I have been over-exuberant this year. Caught an acute case of severe scarf acquisition syndrome in early 2024, and haven’t managed to shake it off 😂. Will need to take it easier in 2025.

Whaaaaat?!!! What an end to an epic year for you. Congratulations. Pretty envious of the price you paid too, haha. Looking forward to seeing more of it on you, twin!

This has been quite a year for scarf acquisitions for me as well! This is the first part of my scarf awards.

Most travelled scarf: ELEK - went home to the Philippines with me and on my Japan trip, sadly never got to use it but it's got the most "miles" in terms of travel!

View attachment 6109606

Oldest scarf (literally!): La Soiree a l'Opera - Soirée de Gala - I've been hunting for birth year scarves for each of my family members and found this 1950 original issue in mint condition!

View attachment 6109609

SOTD wins for ultimate grail, didn't expect to find it at all and in mint condition (although the price was way over retail). I'm so thrilled to finally have it! Parures de Samourais in the CW I've been dying to own!

View attachment 6109615

Thank you to our exceptional scarf mistresses for another wonderful year!

Happy new year fellow scarfies, here's to another year of more grail mail and new silky treasures! 🥂🥳 I've enjoyed all the posts and the sense of community in this thread. ❤️
Ohh, I’m so in love with your cw of EleK. Stunning acquisitions!

I’m having trouble picking favorites… 2024 was the year I really slid/jumped down the CSGM slide.
Will discuss those later!

But, I also found some lovely moussies!
So the Oscarf for Best Green Changeant goes to Tourbillons (really it’s so green, but sometimes the fuchsia gets bossy:giggle:)

The Oscarf for Moussie in a Punch You in the Face Color goes to Urashima Taro in Rose VIF and fuchsia - really this color!!

Echoing Nomad’s thanks to the lovely, generous, witty and creative scarf mistresses, without whom this thread wouldn’t be a fraction as magical.

I’m also grateful to have found this community and silky friends and I’m looking forward to seeing more of everyone and new ‘necks’ (faces) in 2025!
