Thank you, Cookie. And, it looks like @xincinsin is doing the hosting honors this week. That is fabulous! What a marvelous riot of color!
(Evidently I need to check out the 2025 thread! ‘Cuz I have missed this darling scarf!)
Such warming colors. You look beautiful. I haven’t stepped outside because we have non stop rain.
Apologies for the late start, RbH. I had such a busy day that I went to the Land of Nod for 12 hours straightThank you, Cookie. And, it looks like @xincinsin is doing the hosting honors this week.
Welcome, @xincinsin. Congratulations on the Les Renards. My de Poret did not come along for me this year, so I will be doubly hunting for one during 2025. Fortunately my new d'Esope has a couple of delightful Renards in the design.
Looks great with your mint ensemble. Not to worry, the shoes haven’t been worn yet! Once they are, they will keep a safe distance from my scarfs lol
Thank you! It truly is a masterpiece and so versatile with all the color pairings you can do with the differently colored tulips…
Here with my new mint ensemble for further enablement

Thank you!
Thank you!
These colors are amazing on you and so seasonal, although all-around versatile. I snagged a CSGM on a book spine and was also annoyed but in the big scheme of things it’s nothing. I haven’t mastered the fixing skills either, once I tried and it looked worse. Not on theme today. I wanted to wear Sieste au Paradis. Unfortunately I managed to snag it on my necklace on my way out of the door, to my enormous annoyance, so the mending kit will need to come out later.

Your edible souvenirs sound amazing and you look beautiful in both scarves. You have inspired me to branch out with scarf colors into warmer territory.Good afternoon !
I have been mia due to a short trip to Sweden with DH - museums, Good food and shopping local specialities - saffron tea, cardamom biscuits, lingonberry jam and other bare necessites 😉
Only wore Grand carosse royal on our get away but it is on theme as Claus Schierbeck has only made this one design. Photo from the train ride back West.

And last week I wore Dominik Jarlegant: Madras a Zakynthos - it might also be on theme as I do not know of other by this designer (?)

So very beautiful and your gorgeous exotic bracelet is *chef's kiss* @Croisette7-- I am thrilled to be your twin...
Gorgeous Quadrige moussie-- definitely Oscarf worthy @Cookiefiend! 🥂<skidding in with a screech>
Good afternoon Scarflandia! I’m full of cheese and Champagne, not totally sure what day it is.
Ahem <brushing crumbs off>
It’s the end of the year and what a doozy it’s been!
And - it’s time for The Oscarfs!
The most prestigious award, envy inspiring, glorious award a scarf can receive!
This week we take a look at what scarves in our collections are Oscarf worthy - the most beautiful, the most worn, the holy grailiest, the most colorful, the one you spilled the most soup on or accidentally dropped in the parking lot.
What deserves an Oscarf in your collection?
I’ll start with the Oscarf for “The One That Got Away, But Was Found After A Four Year Search”

It is a wonderful opera for children of all ages, as they say @GloWW0rM! I am glad you and they enjoyed yourselves...Haha is it ‘sweater’ in the US? Sweater makes me think of work out clothing. Thanks very much for the compliment. I was snug as a bug wearing it to Hansel & Gretel opera with the children. They just about managed to sit through it but loved it (I did, too!).
You look lovely and cozy @Helena7!Happy Sunday 😀, dear Scarflandia,
Hiking right now and warm with Grand Theatre Nouveau.
I’ve been absent here so there’ll be some major catching up to do!![]()

Livre d'Esop is very high on my list-- I am so eager to see colorways-- does yours actually have a pink elephant? And the picnic scarf!!! Just wonderful.Welcome @Cookiefiend as host of the Oscarfs. Thank you @xincinsin for hosting the Oscarfs Week. and for sharing your three amazing grails!!! All three are beautiful -- the color on your Jardin d'Armenie is striking and I never knew that there was another L'Arbre de Vie! Of course the de Poret is the subject of many a scarf collector's dreams...How time flies! We are at our last theme of the year!

Yes, it's Les Renards.

I've wanted this since I first saw it way back at the start of my orange journey. And that first one I encountered was a special edition priced at $6kSubsequent encounters with this elusive beauty were always fleeting, until this year when a friendly seller offered it to me at a non-heart-attack-inducing price
Congrats, Les Renards, you win the Oscarf for Longest Hunt
The second award for Most Pleasant Surprise goes to Les Jardins d'Armenie. Karen Petrossian did 2 designs to celebrate Armenian culture. I really liked both. Lettres d'Erevan is a CSGM, so it was on the maybe list (tropical weather limit on any greed for cashmere). So I decided several years ago to get the 90 Les Jardins. I hit a roadblock for 2 reasons: I'm not a big fan of tiny florals and have skipped several wonderful designs because of this personal preference. Second reason is that the ones in good condition and acceptable price point were not in cws I liked. I finally sprung for the pink, although it looked kind of dull in the seller's photos. I was Most Pleasantly Surprised when a vibrant candy pink arrived!
View attachment 6108813
Honest admission: I still want Lettres, so if ever that lands in my hands, it would be Oscarf-worthy too!
My third award is the Take A Chance on Me Oscarf which goes to the work of another Karen: L'Arbre de Vie by Karen Swildens. Yes, not the L'Arbre of the same name by Christine Henry. I saw it on a reseller site a few years back and was assured that it wasn't some knock-off design. It was, however, the pics were bad, the price was too high to risk it and I wasn't enamoured enough to risk it. I picked it up this year and I'm delighted. @marietouchet identified thus as a Scandinavian Tree of Life. I haven't had the time yet, but I'm definitely going to delve into the folklore behind this.

Start handing out the awards, everyone! It's time for a lookback. In a year when RL has been less than peaceful, take joy in the little things of life. The Carpe Diem award, anyone?
Sounds like busy and intense weeks. Take care and relax when possible.Thank you for your kind comments, Maedi. LKBNOLA and Lellabelle! And @xincinsin - thank you for your top hosting this week!
Apologies for not participating more these last weeks. Life at work is incredibly busy at the moment, and I spent my week off to relax (with some family visits for the holidays). Tomorrow back to work and a busy schedule with next weekend on call (but New Year’s Day off work!).
And for those who wondered: no sequel this year to last year‘s present from Mr Agrume, the DIY handbook… no orange box either for me (for him, yes, a tie with little 🐉).
So beautifully coordinated in these deep aubergine tones.
Wow to this moussie in its glorious colors.<skidding in with a screech>

Definitely grail material and so gorgeous on you.I love Oscarf Week because it is such a great prelude to New Year's Scarf Resolutions. Now I can look back and see all the resolutions I failed to keep from 2024while at the same time, giving myself awards for the bounty all those broken rules yielded!!!
But here's my first category, which is nothing but pure joy and the satisfaction of a long hunt finally yielding silk gold...
