Well what does a Robot Samurai need to make life complete? Why a silver mythical steed, of course! Wearing Wild Rhythm this morning with Pegase scarf ring... Happy Sunday and counting down to New Year's Eve, Scarflandia!

Great googly moogly - fabulous, gorgeous look!
Good afternoon !
I have been mia due to a short trip to Sweden with DH - museums, Good food and shopping local specialities - saffron tea, cardamom biscuits, lingonberry jam and other bare necessites 😉
Only wore Grand carosse royal on our get away but it is on theme as Claus Schierbeck has only made this one design. Photo from the train ride back east.

And last week I wore Dominik Jarlegant: Madras a Zakynthos - it might also be on theme as I do not know of other by this designer (?)

Wish you all a lovely last Sunday of the year!
Sounds like a delicious trip to Sweden! Looking amazing while you were there too!

Gorgeous and beautiful sweater peeking out.

Beautiful gifts and they look lovely on you @Jacq1!

Thank you on all counts @Maedi! The book is an update to her prior Carres d'Art in that it includes designs to 2024. There seems to be some new front matter but I haven't explored it enough to ascertain if it is really worth adding if you have the others. I will say it is nice not to have to scroll back to find something in the relevant seasonal thread so it is a handy quick reference. My family's go-to gift for me is in the category of "anything scarf or scarf-adjacent" so my library is quite extensive by now!!!

Well, Santa did beautifully @amdmarques and I know that to be true because we are twins!!! I think this is one of the best cws ever. Congratulations on a lovely gift!

Congratulations dear @Teaforparrots!!! It is beautiful on you and I was so hoping someone here would snag this wonderful dipdye when I saw it!!! It is marvelous and what a happy pretty photo, too!

Congratulations @Agrume-- it is so lovely on you!

Oh, @PoliticalGal, what I would not give to find this CSGM! I am your 90 cousin in this cw and your CSGM sister in a beautiful blue but the black is pure H magic to me! Gorgeous mod shot and I love your pretty manicure! Here is my blue sister, since you are after another cw, sharing for reference.

Totally in your wheelhouse @Jereni -- at least in my opinion!-- but if one lives in New Orleans, some gold/gold-adjacent wardrobe pieces is de rigeur for both Mardi Gras and Saints games!!!Thank you for the sweet comments. :hugs:

So interesting and beautiful @xincinsin! I believe we may be twins on Chaque Rencontre-- I hunted this for years and of course, two cws appeared this year in close succession. I have not yet had a chance to debut it but I love how you styled it!!! Here is my cw... (cannot resist the sentiment of this design and the cranes in the corners!!!)

PS I share all of your and @Maedi's further reflections on this design, too.

Just lovely with your Argyle sweater @Croisette7! Like you, I am still rocking my winter/festive scarves...

Wonderful! I am on the exact same Matthieu Cossé acquisition plan @Redbirdhermes! I love each and every one-- his charming primitive style just warms my heart and I too, am adding Le Livre d'Esop. Deciding between two at the moment... Congratulations in advance of the truck's arrival! Hope it is imminent!

Congratulations on joining the Orphee Club @JavaJo! Wonderful styling and I am still laughing over the Orange and Purple Santa!!!

Thank you @Maedi. I am sure that’s part of it!

Thank you @GloWW0rM

Thank you @Croisette7. I remember you have this one - your beautiful modelling pics were the ones that made me fall in love with it! So happy to finally be your twin.

Beautiful! Lovely FePdT and the earrings are such a thoughtful gift. The new-in is lovely and I'm intrigued by the books.

Thank you @LKBNOLA. He’s a sweet boy. He’s seems to like the pjs. We got him a couple of pairs, and he will bring them to me to put on him.

Congratulations! What lovely gifts.

Thank you. Glad the picture made you smile. Hugs from us :hugs:

So soft and elegant.

Stunning!

Thank you @Jereni. I love the CW for this one

Ooh, I hope you’ll share some pictures when you can! If possible, take care to keep it out of direct sunlight (opposite a window, for example). Direct heat and light are not good friends to perfume.

Oh my goodness, the match with your shirt in the second picture is unreal! They look like they were made for each other.
Thank you for your kind comments, Maedi. LKBNOLA and Lellabelle! And @xincinsin - thank you for your top hosting this week!

Apologies for not participating more these last weeks. Life at work is incredibly busy at the moment, and I spent my week off to relax (with some family visits for the holidays). Tomorrow back to work and a busy schedule with next weekend on call (but New Year’s Day off work!).

And for those who wondered: no sequel this year to last year‘s present from Mr Agrume, the DIY handbook… no orange box either for me (for him, yes, a tie with little 🐉).

Thank you for the kind comments, LKBNOLA, and for sharing your beautiful Tous Les Bateaux! As for all of your other beautiful pics, I must say I really admire how you play with color and texture - all of these outfits are perfection!

Not on theme today. I wanted to wear Sieste au Paradis. Unfortunately I managed to snag it on my necklace on my way out of the door, to my enormous annoyance, so the mending kit will need to come out later.

You look stunning. You may already know about it but there’s an excellent thread for how to repair pulls here:

It’s easier than it looks - good luck!

<skidding in with a screech>
Good afternoon Scarflandia! I’m full of cheese and Champagne, not totally sure what day it is.
Ahem <brushing crumbs off>

It’s the end of the year and what a doozy it’s been!
And - it’s time for The Oscarfs!
The most prestigious award, envy inspiring, glorious award a scarf can receive!

This week we take a look at what scarves in our collections are Oscarf worthy - the most beautiful, the most worn, the holy grailiest, the most colorful, the one you spilled the most soup on or accidentally dropped in the parking lot.
What deserves an Oscarf in your collection?

I’ll start with the Oscarf for “The One That Got Away, But Was Found After A Four Year Search”

Oof - I am sorry about the snag (but impressed you know how to fix it!), but - gosh - does this look fabulous!
Thanks, Cookie! I’ve previously fixed a pull on one of my other CSGM’s following the link that Lellabelle shared above. It’s pretty easy and a run can be pulled back perfectly into place when the thread is still whole and it’s just been pulled out of place. The issue now is that the thread broke so I’ll do what I can do fix it but may still have a little run left. C’est la vie! I’m sure no one will know other than me.

Ooooooh, how pretty this looks on your grey jumper (see, I am code switching into "across the pond" terminology!) but sorry for the snag @GloWW0rM -- I am glad you have the skills to repair the mishap! This Sieste is always wonderful to see with the amazing red/pink border.
Haha is it ‘sweater’ in the US? Sweater makes me think of work out clothing. Thanks very much for the compliment. I was snug as a bug wearing it to Hansel & Gretel opera with the children. They just about managed to sit through it but loved it (I did, too!).

Welcome @Cookiefiend as host of the Oscarfs. [Correction: @xincinsin is actually hosting.]

I'm starting with the Most Colorful category.

How time flies! We are at our last theme of the year!

The Oscarfs 2024

Drumroll please! Your fave awards show!

Our regular year-end round-up host @Living.la.vida.fifi is busy with RL. I'll do my best to  with you

Before we get down to celebratingthe scarves which won our hearts this year, a commercial break!

The 2025 SOTD theme list is ready to roll! If you are keen to host a week or two, drop Team Scarf Mistress a message! Join in the fun  We'll be sharing a preview later this week, and the full calendar will be up next Sunday.

And now, back to our regular programming :giggle:

I managed to snag a few grails this year. Here's a hint as to which scarf is receiving the Oscarf for Longest Hunt.

Yes, it's Les Renards.
Picsart_24-07-27_02-42-16-545.jpg
I've wanted this since I first saw it way back at the start of my orange journey. And that first one I encountered was a special edition priced at $6k :faint: Subsequent encounters with this elusive beauty were always fleeting, until this year when a friendly seller offered it to me at a non-heart-attack-inducing price :sweatdrop: Congrats, Les Renards, you win the Oscarf for Longest Hunt

The second award for Most Pleasant Surprise goes to Les Jardins d'Armenie. Karen Petrossian did 2 designs to celebrate Armenian culture. I really liked both. Lettres d'Erevan is a CSGM, so it was on the maybe list (tropical weather limit on any greed for cashmere). So I decided several years ago to get the 90 Les Jardins. I hit a roadblock for 2 reasons: I'm not a big fan of tiny florals and have skipped several wonderful designs because of this personal preference. Second reason is that the ones in good condition and acceptable price point were not in cws I liked. I finally sprung for the pink, although it looked kind of dull in the seller's photos. I was Most Pleasantly Surprised when a vibrant candy pink arrived! :hbeat:
Picsart_24-10-12_00-06-32-300.jpg
Honest admission: I still want Lettres, so if ever that lands in my hands, it would be Oscarf-worthy too!

My third award is the Take A Chance on Me Oscarf which goes to the work of another Karen: L'Arbre de Vie by Karen Swildens. Yes, not the L'Arbre of the same name by Christine Henry. I saw it on a reseller site a few years back and was assured that it wasn't some knock-off design. It was, however, the pics were bad, the price was too high to risk it and I wasn't enamoured enough to risk it. I picked it up this year and I'm delighted. @marietouchet identified thus as a Scandinavian Tree of Life. I haven't had the time yet, but I'm definitely going to delve into the folklore behind this.

Start handing out the awards, everyone! It's time for a lookback. In a year when RL has been less than peaceful, take joy in the little things of life. The Carpe Diem award, anyone?

(Evidently I need to check out the 2025 thread! ‘Cuz I have missed this darling scarf!)
