Absolutely love the green Chorus Stellarum on you, dear @Karenska 💚. The festive fruit salad looks delicious too - very refreshing!

This looks very versatile for interesting knots. It’s almost like it was made for your last knot!

Gorgeous!

Congratulations! Beautifully coordinated and the splashes of cranberry red are so festive.

Snowy serenity 💙

Lovely! Safe travels and enjoy the time with your family!

This is beautiful on you @darkstar66 and it’s a perfect match with your pretty pink sweater. The light where you are is lovely too. Glad kitty got his special treat, and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Stunning! This is a design that is so impactful in bright colours, and yet also manages to be refined and elegant in these muted tones. You look like a winter queen indeed! ❄️
Thank you, @Lellabelle I always appreciate your friendly and thoughtful posts.💜

Thank you so much, dear @Maedi and dear @Karenska ! I am very lucky with MrBelle, who is incredibly patient and supportive of our silken obsession. He sends his best wishes to you all, too.

And @Karenska, a little bonus Dragon pic. He has been especially cuddly these last couple of days.

How nice! Best wishes back to Mr.Belle and Dragon got a moose toy. He’s perhaps cherishing the extra time with you.

The artist for today - Matthieu Cosse - has done several different designs for H. Not all would have attracted our attention because the design was used for non-scarf items like towels. This year, he visited my shores to design the windows at the Singapore flagship.

Cosse designed Isola di Primavera and Au Royaume d'Helios. Both of which I almost bought, but the scarf budget was diverted to other scarves I liked more. They tie very well IMO but are not exactly my style. He recently designed a twilly which I loved: the adorable Les Chiens Parisiens. I wonder if he will do a Les Chats Parisiens? :kitty:

The twilly, tied in a simple half-bow, and pairing it with my genuine dog collar :dog:
View attachment 6106206
Ohh, I really like this twilly and am kicking myself for not getting it when I was in store and looking at it. It’s adorable! I wish I’d get over myself and start wearing twillies.
Annie Faivre is probably the anti-thesis of the theme this week but it is TIME to break out the holiday looks so, cannot be helped. I have less than 5 red and blue scarves!!!! …. Theme stretch?

View attachment 6106322
Such a gorgeous look @Jereni.
Good evening!!!!

Today I only wore scarves to be on theme. I have mainly been serving as domestic godess , occupying the kitchen to be ready for tomorrow’s feast.
Some of today’s products:
Two ducks and two socks (yess I made it in time)
View attachment 6106380

These two scarves are from designers who only - for now - have made one scarf for H.
But they are both among my favourites!!

Arlette Ess : lazy Leopardesses
View attachment 6106381
And Claus Rye Schierbeck : Grand carosse royal
View attachment 6106383
Wish you all a very happy and blessed Holiday!!!
Wow, incredible knitted socks and those stuffed ducks look so tasty, even after I’ve been eating solidly for 3 days. As you know, I love your Leopardesses on you!
I believe Aboriginal artist Gloria Petyarre designed this single scarf Le Reve de Gloria for Hermes based a frequent motif used in her paintings, Bush Medicine Leaves.

Here’s a link to the Sydney Morning Herald with some background on the scarf. https://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/fa...-fashion-house-a-good-wrap-20091018-h2yf.html
The scarf booklet description:
View attachment 6106435

Initially I did not see the beauty in this design so did not buy it when it was readily available in my home store, but after growing to appreciate Australian Aboriginal art through many trips to OZ, I decided I must have this scarf. I was lucky enough to find one hiding in a drawer well past the season it was issued at FRA H store and scooped it up. However, I would have preferred the black colourway, but have not been able to locate one, and the scarf does not come up from resellers very often. My SOTD Le Reve de Gloria:

And the amazing colourway I'm still searching for.
View attachment 6106438
Thank you for sharing! I also follow this artist and would love to find a cw that suits my colouring.
SOTD is Kohei Kyomori’s Duo Cosmique. From what I can find, Kyomori collaborated with Hermès for their Fall Winter 2021 collection and won the Hermès International Scarf Design Competition Grand Prize for this particular design. I haven’t come across any other design from Kyomori since.

His design was also used for the store display windows for the Omotesando store. More here kohei-kyomori.com

What an amazing window display based on the design. Lovely pop of contrast against your top.
Merry Christmas to those of you to celebrate!

With an early gift to wear right away - Cosmographia in cw 01 - my first design in multiples.

View attachment 6106757
Congrats on your new Cosmographia! Multiples are necessary when a design captures your heart and the cws just work. This is gorgeous!
Mega-quote alert!

Bubbles is a classic, as is this beautiful La Femme!

Thanks. He doesn’t normally get dressed, but he’s having an allergy to something at the moment and this helps prevent him scratching until we figure out what he’s sensitive to. He’s pretty cute though!

Beautiful and a perfect pairing for unicorn themed drinks, costumes and anything else! Love this on you, twin! (My green one is still in the vault!)

Thank you @Karenska! Your festive hosting has been a delight, thank you!!

It’s very tasty: it is brewed with lactose, so is very creamy, and it’s spiced with horchata spices. It’s from a local brewery so I don’t think they ship outside Canada, though 🙁 The glass is from Chimay, who do a lovely reserve of their blue label, which can be reliably found at many good outlets at this time of year.

We have a special beer that we drink at Christmas that can be shipped in the US. Will update later 😉

Thank you @Maedi . Love your new A en A Forever, too!

Beautiful, @Croisette7

I couldn’t find a tutorial in the scarf knot thread, so will post one for you over the Christmas break!

Ooh, this is great on the ‘sugar plum’ sweater! Note to self: must try this with the 90! (Which I only ever seem to wear on red, black or cream)

These are perfect together, @darkstar66! Like a desert sunrise. I don’t have a baobab cat (yet) but like you, I think the scale on these little darlings is superb!

Fabulous on you. Mine never looks this good!

Beautiful. The top and cardigan pairing is perfect, too. Incredible coordination!

Beautiful tree!

Just gorgeous on you @GloWW0rM. Stunning! Perfect colours on you, beautiful shawl amd papillon ring, too!
:ps:

Another beautiful tree and congratulations on the Cosmographia. Multiples are a slippery slope. Once the seal is broken… it’s only a short hop and a skip to backups :giggle:
Thank you for your lovely comments :hugs:
Wishing everyone that celebrates a very happy Christmas Eve and Christmas Day ❤️🎄

I am very grateful for this community 😊

I am heading to a Christmas gathering on my mothers side wearing my Botanica Grafica.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

The shade of your top is just perfect with this shawl. I hope you had a lovely family gathering!
Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas Day!!! We are off to celebrate and light the first candle of Chanukah this evening. I have the perfect blue and silver scarf showing a charming winter scene so I have both holidays covered. 🕎 🌲 Echoing @Agrume's gratitude for this lovely, warm and generous community. Truly, we need more places like Scarflandia in our world!

Sharp inhale of breath - your whole outfit is beauuuuuutiful! Thank you for indulging us and even including your earrings. I can’t stop looking at the scarf details.
I finally picked out a 90 size scarf from last season, and opened it this morning. It is Emile et Une Nuit in the craie/rouge H/marine, CW03, which so many have chosen. Including dear @Jereni who is wearing hers today.

View attachment 6107164

I am going theme adjacent this afternoon to a gathering at my sister's with this red La Comedie Italienne by Philippe Ledoux. Ledoux is hardly new, but I checked and I did purchase fewer than five additional Ledouxes for my collection this year. So, I'm going with that.

View attachment 6107163

Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays, to All.
Great choice on the Emile Et Un Nuit and I love it on the blue. You and @Jereni have chosen well. I wonder why my SA was so against this cw on me when I tried it on. Maybe she thinks I can’t pull off sophisticated cws  I may need to right this wrong soon as it’s beautiful ok both of you.
La Comedie Italienne is so festive with your pearls that in this context remind me of baubles.
Merry Christmas everyone! And happy Hanukkah!

I’m visiting my mom and brother in the US and had fun packing red and green scarves:

FdG for unwrapping presents! My mom broke out the Christmas jewelry box, and I fear the snowflake I chose is trying to impersonate a sheriff’s badge:

Hands up, pardner! And a happy new year too!
Great scarf choices and anccessories, and very envious of that Mai Tai scarf holder for travel. Zip lock bags work well but don’t look or feel as nice!
Kwami Sefedin has designed six scarves for Hermès. Here is his heartbreaking and inspiring bio from Cree de Paris blog: “After his parents were killed in 1997, during a civil war, a then-14-year-old Sudanese boy named Sefedin found his way to a base camp for Doctors Without Borders, which placed him in a school for orphans. While there, drew colourful chalk sketches of African landscapes, which eventually landed on the desk of Jean-Louis Dumas. Dumas, the now-retired chief executive of Hermès, had previously visited the school and asked the teachers to send him the work of any promising young artists. Dumas hired Sefedin to design for Hermes. He created six different styles “This boy was born during the war and saw nothing but death around him, but all of his designs are very peaceful,”.
In that spirit of peace and hopefulness, I am wearing Sefedin's marvelous Feux du Ciel today-- this is the winter counterpart to my vibrant fireworks cw!!
View attachment 6107407
Sorry for the crazy angle, but I wanted to get my earrings in the photo!
I didn’t know this about Kwami Sefedin. I got goosebumps reading his story. It makes the design that much more special. Beautiful on you.
Hope everyone had a merry Christmas, or just a fantastic Wednesday! Happy Chanukah Second Day, Boxing Day, and Kwaanzaa as well!

Today is Duo Cosmique for me, as we go up to Santa Rosa to visit with more family. Am beginning to wonder if this scarf does not mesh with my coloring as much.

Hmm, I don’t know that I agree with you - it suits you beautifully, in my opinion. Stunning design and you look radiant.
Happy Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, Solstice, or holiday season to all our lovely Scarflandians! I am grateful for this kind and generous community, and thankful for each one of you. Wishing you all joy, peace, health and happiness for the year ahead :hugs:

Whether I have been good or not is very much up for debate, but Santa (or his locally contracted delegate, MrBelle 🤣, anyway) was very kind to me this year. A couple of beautiful silks were released from the vault, with the added benefit of surprise as I never know what he will pick.

SOYD was a special one, and a lucky find quite some time ago, that has been waiting for an occasion. I have long wanted to add a Tyger Tyger, and never thought I’d be lucky enough to chance on the SE. Here it is in all its glory:

And SOTD is my beautiful green Vallee du Cristal, which I am excited to finally get after securing one as soon as they were released, over a year ago, now. Shown here with the permabrass Pegase scarf ring. This combo was made for each other:

Wow, @Lellabelle, where can I sign up for a local delegate?! Both are gawpingly-incredible!! The Tyger Tyger colours are mesmerising and the way you’ve tied Vallee with the scarf ring is perfection. Enjoy your beautiful gifts and cocktails.

Both are so beautifully tied, Lellabelle ... twins on the Tyger.

These 4 artists all contributed just one scarf design.

Micheline J Masson created Les Truites or La Pêche a la Mouche in 1953. There was a reissue in the 70s and/or 90s, but I don't know enough about this design to tell if mine is an original or a re-issue. I have a couple of scarves on the fishing theme because my parents were fishing enthusiasts and we spent many weekends along the rocky coastline as they cast their lines.

I tried searching for info about Masson but found nothing except some articles in French about an actress/singer/radio personality called Micheline Masson. Was she the designer? Perhaps.

Nicole Lambert is a French illustrator and author who is well known for the comic strip Les Triples published since the 1980s in the magazine Madame Figaro. The three children, two brothers and their sister, are depicted having adventures and getting up to mischief.

My first Les Triples was the pink cw. Later I added the lavender blue charity edition. I'm quite tempted to get the gav version too.
PicsArt_11-10-02.35.27.jpg

Another famous cartoonist was invited to create the first scarf design for the new century. In 2000, H issued L'Annee des Nouveaux Jours designed by Jean-Jacques Sempé. It is based on his full color drawing entitled Premiers Pas Dans, “First Steps into…”, which depicts a little boy pulling a toy horse with wheels on a beach. The full colour drawing was used on a coin tray, and the child Le Petit Nicolas and his toy horse was replicated on the scarf.

I must admit that I was not attracted to the scarf because it was so ... blank. I finally bought it for three reasons:
1. The resale price was reasonable.
2. I was pushing my boundaries as I generally prefer busy designs.
3. I found out that Sempé worked with René Goscinny to create a series of children's books based on Le Petit Nicolas. Goscinny was one of the duo who created Asterix, a comic which I read in English and French many years ago when I was studying the language. Good memories!

Off-topic and sharing some holiday gifts today! SOYE for Chanukah Second Night, a beautiful scarf and super lucky find early in the year that has been biding its time in the gift vault until the holidays. I have loved this for a long time but went with another cw that season (which I also love  ). Even so, this blue kept calling, calling to me so I'm delighted to finally be twins with @scarf1 and @MsMarzipan and I am sure many others...

You are so very very nice @GloWW0rM! Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed the "winter scarves" and Sefedin's story is quite amazing for sure! It took me a long time to get into twillies too and I still don't wear them much but I promise they add a wonderful pop to a black turtleneck when you want just a small hit of silk on your outfit (especially good with little ones around!), though I still favor them for front belt loops and purses, TBH. We have some great twilly inspo on the SOTD thread!!!!
Oh, I love this so much-- the blue waves are fantastic @Croisette7!!! This makes me curious about your ELeK CSGMs...and you are right about the colors, they exude warmth and coziness!

As always another fabulous and informative post @xincinsin! I have a similarly colored Les Triples but it is not the LE-- I did not know she had only created the one design! I did search for a nice cw of Les Truites because it is a design from my birth y ear but I could never find one that appealed. I like your cw!!!
OT, because Catherine Baschet created more than 4 designs, but I felt like wearing Qu'importe le Flacon today and this is a photo of my matching "perfume bar" - sadly, I don't have any of the beautiful flacons of the scarf, not even a similar one!🤣View attachment 6107693View attachment 6107694
