Merry Christmas everyone! And happy Hanukkah!

I’m visiting my mom and brother in the US and had fun packing red and green scarves:

L to R top:
Regina and Minuit au Faubourg gavroches
Le Tarot
Aaaaargh! C/S 100
Bottom:
Fleurs de Giverny
Faubourg by Night
Animapolis

And an Alexander McQueen non-skull-y floral on the right for rainy days

FdG for unwrapping presents! My mom broke out the Christmas jewelry box, and I fear the snowflake I chose is trying to impersonate a sheriff’s badge:

Hands up, pardner! And a happy new year too!
Love that scarf roll. Did you make it?

I like cotton scarves, very practical for the tropical heat. Cotton scarf Rêve de Mécanique élémentaire is the only scarf design by Vincent Leroy.

My cw of this scarf was issued for the Hermes Step Into the Frame event, London, March 2019. A cheerful citrus orange and yellow.

Another artist who appears to have done only one scarf design is Maglione. If I'm not mistaken, he has designed RTW for H. L'Annee des Etoiles was a gav issued in 1999. The theme for 1999 was Year of Stars & Mythology. There were several different cws and I've seen a couple of cws in both silk twill and mousselline.

It's one of my fave designs because it pairs well with other gavs.

Good morning everyone and Happy Boxing Day plus Chanukah Second Night! Thank you all for the likes, loves and comments and even more for the beautiful photos of scarves, delicacies (tree shaped salads, fantans ( !!), chocolates) as well as beautiful new ins and curated Holiday scarves for family gatherings--congratulations to @Jereni and @Redbirdhermes-- I am also a member of Emile et Une Nuit: Team Craie! It looks beautiful on both of you. I am looking forward to sharing some of my gift vault and other silk-related presents as the week goes on too...
A throwback Wednesday for me. When I started sliding down the orange slope almost 10 years ago, Alice Shirley was also starting her collaboration with H. She had a scarf design out every season for several years.

I don't have all her designs. Some I appreciate but don't feel the need to possess. Here are 5 Alice designs from her earlier years. Some were bought when they were issued; some were bought from the resale market when I learnt to appreciate the design.

Dans un Jardin Anglais
I bought a gav first but soon realized that the 90 was more to my liking (it has the bunnies!)

Tyger Tyger
My first purchase in more than one cw - because I was born in the Year of the Tiger :catlick:

Into the Canadian Wild
I bought a second cw this year when I came across the Canada 150 SE.

Awooooo
A tiny wolf for me, because my home H never received my preferred cw in 100.

Mountain Zebra
A design so mesmerizing that I witnessed passersby stopping in front of the boutique window. They gaped at the MZ on display, turned and detoured in, and asked to buy it.

Your Alice Shirley collection is stunning @xincinsin and I must say your posts this week have been so interesting and informative that I have been bookmarking like crazy! I have only two cotton scarves and have been eying that Annee des Etoiles as well... what a lovely design.
As far as I know, this design is the only one by this artist for Hermès.

Thank you for sharing this @Redbirdhermes -- design and artist are completely new to me!

Kwami Sefedin has designed six scarves for Hermès. Here is his heartbreaking and inspiring bio from Cree de Paris blog: “After his parents were killed in 1997, during a civil war, a then-14-year-old Sudanese boy named Sefedin found his way to a base camp for Doctors Without Borders, which placed him in a school for orphans. While there, drew colourful chalk sketches of African landscapes, which eventually landed on the desk of Jean-Louis Dumas. Dumas, the now-retired chief executive of Hermès, had previously visited the school and asked the teachers to send him the work of any promising young artists. Dumas hired Sefedin to design for Hermes. He created six different styles “This boy was born during the war and saw nothing but death around him, but all of his designs are very peaceful,”.
In that spirit of peace and hopefulness, I am wearing Sefedin's marvelous Feux du Ciel today-- this is the winter counterpart to my vibrant fireworks cw!!

Sorry for the crazy angle, but I wanted to get my earrings in the photo!
