Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas Day!!! We are off to celebrate and light the first candle of Chanukah this evening. I have the perfect blue and silver scarf showing a charming winter scene so I have both holidays covered. 🕎 🌲 Echoing @Agrume's gratitude for this lovely, warm and generous community. Truly, we need more places like Scarflandia in our world!

A beautiful and serene icy look! Meshes so well with your scenery too.

Hello and happy Christmas morning! Please forgive me for bothering you again with my sweet Baobat Cat but I had to post this, it goes so well with my rose bonbon Christmas present! Merlin was just here to demand his daily breakfast and I gave him a special treat for a special day. I hope you are all enjoying the holidays.🎄🎄🎄
PS No orange boxes under the tree, but no problem, at all.😄View attachment 6107345View attachment 6107346View attachment 6107347View attachment 6107348

So cute and charming with your sweater. These colors are so perfect on you! And what a sweet kitty.

I like cotton scarves, very practical for the tropical heat. Cotton scarf Rêve de Mécanique élémentaire is the only scarf design by Vincent Leroy.

My cw of this scarf was issued for the Hermes Step Into the Frame event, London, March 2019. A cheerful citrus orange and yellow.

Another artist who appears to have done only one scarf design is Maglione. If I'm not mistaken, he has designed RTW for H. L'Annee des Etoiles was a gav issued in 1999. The theme for 1999 was Year of Stars & Mythology. There were several different cws and I've seen a couple of cws in both silk twill and mousselline.
View attachment 6107392

It's one of my fave designs because it pairs well with other gavs.

Was not familiar with this artist, thank you for sharing! I’m learning so much this week. The L’Annee des Etoiles is a design I’ve admired many times.

Kwami Sefedin has designed six scarves for Hermès. Here is his heartbreaking and inspiring bio from Cree de Paris blog: “After his parents were killed in 1997, during a civil war, a then-14-year-old Sudanese boy named Sefedin found his way to a base camp for Doctors Without Borders, which placed him in a school for orphans. While there, drew colourful chalk sketches of African landscapes, which eventually landed on the desk of Jean-Louis Dumas. Dumas, the now-retired chief executive of Hermès, had previously visited the school and asked the teachers to send him the work of any promising young artists. Dumas hired Sefedin to design for Hermes. He created six different styles “This boy was born during the war and saw nothing but death around him, but all of his designs are very peaceful,”.
In that spirit of peace and hopefulness, I am wearing Sefedin's marvelous Feux du Ciel today-- this is the winter counterpart to my vibrant fireworks cw!!

Sorry for the crazy angle, but I wanted to get my earrings in the photo!

What an interesting story, wow. Your styling of this is IMPECCABLE. You look like a snow queen!

Beautiful!

The festive Chorus Stellarum to celebrate Christmas Eve. I made a holiday fruit salad. Drizzled with an orange juice and cinnamon-honey dressing, it was quite refreshing! Merry Christmas to all who celebrate and sending good wishes to this friendly, caring and welcoming community. :hugs:

Absolutely love the green Chorus Stellarum on you, dear @Karenska 💚. The festive fruit salad looks delicious too - very refreshing!
Good afternoon everybody !!
I hope you are all enjoying the holidays - we are now relaxing from the Big night of food, family and presents yesterday 😊
While still in pyjamas I have played with my present from my Dad - the Noeud de H scarf ring. It feels very versatile and I look forward to wear it in public as well.
Tested it with designs by two designers ehim I believe have not made other (?) than these scarves.
Jin Kwon Douze Leopards and Ton Reng Parades et Fanfares.

Merry Christmas everyone! And happy Hanukkah!

I’m visiting my mom and brother in the US and had fun packing red and green scarves:

L to R top:
Regina and Minuit au Faubourg gavroches
Le Tarot
Aaaaargh! C/S 100
Bottom:
Fleurs de Giverny
Faubourg by Night
Animapolis

And an Alexander McQueen non-skull-y floral on the right for rainy days

FdG for unwrapping presents! My mom broke out the Christmas jewelry box, and I fear the snowflake I chose is trying to impersonate a sheriff’s badge:

Stunning! This is a design that is so impactful in bright colours, and yet also manages to be refined and elegant in these muted tones. You look like a winter queen indeed! ❄️

Happy Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, Solstice, or holiday season to all our lovely Scarflandians! I am grateful for this kind and generous community, and thankful for each one of you. Wishing you all joy, peace, health and happiness for the year ahead :hugs:

Whether I have been good or not is very much up for debate, but Santa (or his locally contracted delegate, MrBelle 🤣, anyway) was very kind to me this year. A couple of beautiful silks were released from the vault, with the added benefit of surprise as I never know what he will pick.

SOYD was a special one, and a lucky find quite some time ago, that has been waiting for an occasion. I have long wanted to add a Tyger Tyger, and never thought I’d be lucky enough to chance on the SE. Here it is in all its glory:

And SOTD is my beautiful green Vallee du Cristal, which I am excited to finally get after securing one as soon as they were released, over a year ago, now. Shown here with the permabrass Pegase scarf ring. This combo was made for each other:

Thanks! No, MaiTai used to sell these travel folders on her website. You can sometimes find them on EBay or other resellers.
I have one! They are so great. Now I wish I had ordered another one. Thank you for the tip to check on Etsy @FizzyWater -- someone is missing a bet not making these...I use mine every time I go for longer than a weekend and sometimes, even then!
So wintry and gorgeous, dear Lkb. Like a snowstorm!
Beautiful!
Thank you so much @Karenska and @JavaJo!!! :hugs:

Hope everyone had a merry Christmas, or just a fantastic Wednesday! Happy Chanukah Second Day, Boxing Day, and Kwaanzaa as well!

Today is Duo Cosmique for me, as we go up to Santa Rosa to visit with more family. Am beginning to wonder if this scarf does not mesh with my coloring as much.

Thank you so much @Maedi! The earrings mean a lot to me as they are designed by a beloved New Orleans jeweler: Mignon Faget. I was very pleased with how they seemed to echo the "sky fire" in the scarf design! And what a good idea to bookmark outfits for future reference... 💡

Gorgeous gifts @Lellabelle -- I adore the way you tied your Vallee and your SE Tyger Tyger is simply stunning-- may we see it flat when you have the chance? I am so intrigued by the border and the colors! Mr. Belle and Mr. Claus have outdone themselves this Christmas!!!

Thank you dear @LKBNOLA! Only too happy to oblige with a flat pic. I’ll try tomorrow, as it’s fully dark here now.

I meant to compliment those earrings in your post too. They are very pretty indeed - like sparkling ice, or comets 💫 💙

Another fan of Mai Tai's scarf booklets and travel pouches here! I wish she would bring them back. The quality was incomparable.
Fun fact: she was a member of SoTD when this thread was in its infancy.

Love this!
I've only got DH to the point where he goes "You can go to your H" when we reach the airport lounge
(His taste is very different from mine, so it is better for me that he does not buy me any scarves )

I love the brown accents in the green Vallée and am taking notes how you’re tying with the Pégase ring. Both scarves are fabulous. Good job, Mr.Belle and Santa. They are foreshadowing spring.

Thank you so much, dear @Maedi and dear @Karenska ! I am very lucky with MrBelle, who is incredibly patient and supportive of our silken obsession. He sends his best wishes to you all, too.

And @Karenska, a little bonus Dragon pic. He has been especially cuddly these last couple of days.
