He is so dear @Lellabelle-- we had a Weimaraner growing up and Dragon brings me such good memories. Love his pj and his toy moose! (and thank you).

You are so very very nice @GloWW0rM! Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed the "winter scarves" and Sefedin's story is quite amazing for sure! It took me a long time to get into twillies too and I still don't wear them much but I promise they add a wonderful pop to a black turtleneck when you want just a small hit of silk on your outfit (especially good with little ones around!), though I still favor them for front belt loops and purses, TBH. We have some great twilly inspo on the SOTD thread!!!!

Oh, I love this so much-- the blue waves are fantastic @Croisette7!!! This makes me curious about your ELeK CSGMs...and you are right about the colors, they exude warmth and coziness!

As always another fabulous and informative post @xincinsin! I have a similarly colored Les Triples but it is not the LE-- I did not know she had only created the one design! I did search for a nice cw of Les Truites because it is a design from my birth y ear but I could never find one that appealed. I like your cw!!!

Your pink sweater is simply perfect on you with the scarf detail! I love your "perfume bar" @darkstar66-- I too would love to have a flaçon even a tenth as pretty as some on Baschet's scarf. :girlsigh:
:hugs:

Today's scarf is another graphic design with the designer listed in the scarf name. Pierre Charpin is a designer primarily known for his home furnishings. Here is a window design he did for the Madison Ave store back in 2018. The scarf design is hanging in the background.

La Serpentine de Pierre Charpin is my scarf of the day. This is his only scarf design for Hermes. He has also designed lacquered wood trays for Hermes back in 2015.

One was the popular tulipomanie CSGT from this season - I put it on right away today as my SOTD to run some errands (and some more shoe shopping :D)

The other was from my DH and my first twilly! En liberté - a perfect match with my grandma‘s newest sewing project

All in all I had wonderful holidays and hope everyone else here had them as well or continues to with celebrating Hannukah or other holidays.

I was sorely tempted by this design. My mind sometimes goes: "if you find it too plain, too simple, too uncomplicated, then it probably ties like a dream! Buy it!‘’

It likes being contrary  I convince it that I can be happy living vicariously through the SOTD photos  Then I sneakily buy yet another phoenix...

Thank you, xincinsin. The heart knows what it loves. I have a weakness for graphic designs that don't seem to be particularly popular with others. On the other hand, my Phoenix collection remains on the sparse side.

I was just thinking that since I found Charpin's window design, that I should probably try my scarf with bright red. Next time.

These 4 artists all contributed just one scarf design.

Micheline J Masson created Les Truites or La Pêche a la Mouche in 1953. There was a reissue in the 70s and/or 90s, but I don't know enough about this design to tell if mine is an original or a re-issue. I have a couple of scarves on the fishing theme because my parents were fishing enthusiasts and we spent many weekends along the rocky coastline as they cast their lines.

I tried searching for info about Masson but found nothing except some articles in French about an actress/singer/radio personality called Micheline Masson. Was she the designer? Perhaps.

I love the characters in N S Harsha's Colour Marsala. He is quite an acclaimed artist!

Nicole Lambert is a French illustrator and author who is well known for the comic strip Les Triples published since the 1980s in the magazine Madame Figaro. The three children, two brothers and their sister, are depicted having adventures and getting up to mischief.

My first Les Triples was the pink cw. Later I added the lavender blue charity edition. I'm quite tempted to get the gav version too.

Another famous cartoonist was invited to create the first scarf design for the new century. In 2000, H issued L'Annee des Nouveaux Jours designed by Jean-Jacques Sempé. It is based on his full color drawing entitled Premiers Pas Dans, “First Steps into…”, which depicts a little boy pulling a toy horse with wheels on a beach. The full colour drawing was used on a coin tray, and the child Le Petit Nicolas and his toy horse was replicated on the scarf.

I must admit that I was not attracted to the scarf because it was so ... blank. I finally bought it for three reasons:
1. The resale price was reasonable.
2. I was pushing my boundaries as I generally prefer busy designs.
3. I found out that Sempé worked with René Goscinny to create a series of children's books based on Le Petit Nicolas. Goscinny was one of the duo who created Asterix, a comic which I read in English and French many years ago when I was studying the language. Good memories!

I adore Sempé and this is a lovely design. Pensive, reflective, dear. Looks splendid on you.

OT, because Catherine Baschet created more than 4 designs, but I felt like wearing Qu'importe le Flacon today and this is a photo of my matching "perfume bar" - sadly, I don't have any of the beautiful flacons of the scarf, not even a similar one!🤣View attachment 6107693View attachment 6107694
You look beautiful in this scarf and thank you for sharing your perfume bar. You have great fragrance taste.

Off-topic and sharing some holiday gifts today! SOYE for Chanukah Second Night, a beautiful scarf and super lucky find early in the year that has been biding its time in the gift vault until the holidays. I have loved this for a long time but went with another cw that season (which I also love  ). Even so, this blue kept calling, calling to me so I'm delighted to finally be twins with @scarf1 and @MsMarzipan and I am sure many others...

And today I am wearing my other gifts: Tous en Selle along with new blue earrings that match it perfectly! This was a complete surprise from my lovely DH who simply said, "You have so many blue scarves, and only one pair of blue earrings..." 💙 Paired with a gold holiday sweater and a new scarf ring that many of us have fallen for here in Scarflandia! Delighted to twin with @Croisette7 on this amazing design which is full of surprises and fun touches...

And I am looking forward to spending tomorrow with a cup of tea, some cookies and new books!!!

Both scarves are exquisite, the blues in Fleurs are like porcelain and the new design is quite festive with your sweater. Beautiful earrings and I would love to learn more about the scarf book. Thank you for sharing and kudos to your DH.

You look lovely in both.

Thank you, my dear scarfie friends, for your interest in seeing the scarf I ordered for myself on my birthday! It’s a funny story actually. I ordered this scarf many months ago but returned it, feeling that it didn’t go with anything that I didn’t already have scarves to go with. But I posted a photo before returning it and received many compliments and congratulations! D’oh. So when it showed up again for sale, I waited for it to be discounted and then snagged it! (I knew from previous experience that the stated flaws didn’t really exist - perhaps there was a data entry error - but expected that would deter other potential buyers.) Thanks everyone for weighing in with your wisdom so I could rectify my error 👍🏻IMG_4272.jpeg
