Received my replacement "lace" (I call it a drawstring...) for my monogram multicolor noir noe today and I am kind of disappointed. They charged $100 FYI. It seems they've sent me a replacement lace for a noe bb (matches up with that lace identically). The lace that came with the multicolor noe is skinnier and longer. See attached photos.

Perhaps this is the only one they make now? It just doesn't glide nicely through the eyelets on the multicolor bag like the skinner one does....and I haven't tried to tie it yet but I feel like I'm probably going to have to cinch my bag more to tie it since its shorter...

No way! Ugh. You shouldn't have to modify your bag to have the draw string "fit" your bag. I would bring this up with LV Customer Service or your SA. Maybe they sent you the wrong one. For $100 it needs to fit YOUR bag.

Nope. I wouldn't accept it.

Has anyone had any recent experience with the lining of the Pochette Métis becoming smelly? I bought mine in 2019 and used it really only a handful of times. I have had it sitting on a shelf in my closet (with the door open) and out of the dust bag/box. I picked it up for the first time in about a year the other week, and it has a very odd smell. Not really musty, more of a dirty sock odor. I aired it out, used a charcoal odor bag, nothing has diminished the odor.

I know others have reported this similar issue in the past. I have an appointment set up with their online service department, but I am just curious if others have had to pay to have the lining replaced (and what the cost is), or what the outcome has been for other people?
Oh my goodness…dealing with this now. I’ve tried everything. Did you ever rectify the situation? I called to see if I can have the lining replaced and I was told that’s not possible. I don’t want to sell the bag bc I love it and don’t want to repurchase at a much higher cost.

I had a client send me a damaged Louis Vuitton backpack she bought second hand. When she got it, she noticed it had little dots on it. She tried to clean it and it ended up peeling. She couldn't return it at that point as she made it worse with a diluted soap and water solution. LV authenticated it multiple times so it's 100% authentic, but apparently came from a bad batch of canvas that peels from 2017?? As she bought it second hand, they told her there was nothing she could do. So she reached out to me to paint it and touch up the imperfections. I went ahead and repaired the damage and painted it so that it's as good as new! I had never heard of the bad canvas before though. Scary to know that's a possibility but always grateful to help clients save their pieces! Have you guys ever seen this peeling? At this point I've painted on a million things but I've never seen peeling! I have painted over ink stains, sanitizer damage, oil, you name it! I'll have to add this to the list.

I had that happen to a LV Dauphine belt. It had that funky dirty stinky sock smell. It is the canvas. I bought the belt from Rebag and it was listed with an odor. I figured it's probably faint, not a big deal. Nope. Right out of the LV box I could smell it, but unless I did not sniff the belt close to my nose I could not smell it. Other then that the belt was in great condition. I wish I thought about asking LV about it. I sold it to FP after I had it for about 6mo to 1 year. It must be the canvas or coating on the canvas as that is all there is to that belt other then the hardware buckle. Perhaps address it again with LV and see if they can offer a solution. Swapping your bag out may be a solution if this is an occurrence that has been happening to other bags or canvas items. Also my friend had that happen to her LV Monogram key cles that she bought brand new in 2021 online from LV and it has that.stinky funky sock smell as well.

My new model PM has this same issue, and I thought it was from the LV box I stored it in. I would air it out and use it and the smell would go away. But after I would store it away again, the smell always came back. Same thing happened with my LV Favorite (original model), so I figured it must be the LV box (it doesn't happen with any of my other non-LV bags). If you store yours in the box, maybe leave it out in its dustbag?

Wow, your bag looked great before but with a new plate it looks brand new!
I know! It has made all the difference. This was a real bargain pre-loved find and this repair has totally restored it! I have had the Brooklyn PM for years, bought from LV while it was still available and it’s one of my favourite small bags, so I was thrilled to find the GM too!

Yes, at such a low cost it's totally worth getting the new plate. I'm in the US so I'm hoping it will be at a low cost here. You are inspiring me to send my LV DE Eva Clutch/Pochette for a new plate! My Eva will look brand spanking new! Gosh you waited a long time for your repair! :( Did you receive your bag back with the protective plastic on the plate? I will ask them to leave or put one on mine! Lol

I didn’t, which was a bit disappointing but I don’t think they do that generally speaking, at least in the UK. Thankfully it was free from marks! They had issues sourcing the plate but to be fair I was pretty impressed that they could still offer it at all. Good to know that they can replace these things on older pieces!

One time I waited for nearly 2 years for a parts.
