I think it makes no difference to you if you are not trying to sell it get top dollarJeeeez! I am so clumsy lately. I can't believe I did this. I tugged on the side strap of MOCA LV hands NF and it caused a tear.
I know now what I need to do to have it fixed. However, I don't know if 1) I want to have it leave my side for months and 2) What if by chance something bad happens and I lose one of my most treasured LV bags?
Question: Would you send it in for repair? The thingamajig that tightens the strap can easily slide up and hide/prevent further tearing.
Definitely never ever sellingI think it makes no difference to you if you are not trying to sell it get top dollar
Then I would not repair it, no need to add more money on top of purchase price you had paid.Definitely never ever selling
Another price increase on repairs is absolutely absurd. The repairs are already so expensive! Im currently on vacation but I'll post my bag soon as I get back home.Awesome, your CA did you right! And I'd pay, grab my bag and run too. Apparently they had another price increase affecting repair as well. These days, LV does whatever it wants. A lot of times, even CAs cannot even stomach the things corporate make them do.
Congratulations on your "new" Roses Neverfull. Do show a picture when you get the chance! 🩷 🩷 🩷
They can do it, but the entire bag needs to be disassembled for it, so I'd bet it's on the pricier side.Does anyone know if these metal D rings can be replaced on the pochette accessories and if so, what is the cost? Mine look silver and def bothers me at this point.
Oh yeah and I’m not sure that I want them to deconstruct it either. Thanks! They can do it, but the entire bag needs to be disassembled for it, so I'd bet it's on the pricier side.
I tried searching for an answer in the forum before asking, so my apologies if I've overlooked where this might've already been addressed, but when a bag is disassembled for repair, does LV use the original stitch holes when reassembling? Or do they just run the canvas through the sewing machine without regard for the existing holes?
A new, additional path of perforation from the needle would certainly weaken the canvas at the seams, so I'd hope a repair would use the original stitch holes. However, I understand that would be labor intensive, so I wasn't sure if that was the actual practice for LV.
I've never submitted a repair, but have always been curious about the process--does anyone have any insight?
