I ended up just selling the bag, because the 40 is a bit awkwardly large to only be able to hand carry for me. I was told that my quote included replacing all the leather on the outside of the bag (so yes, piping and all that is included) and all exterior metal pieces...I didn't say that I was interested in having the zipper replaced specifically, and never got an itemized breakdown, so I couldn't say for sure if that was included. The other thing I couldn't get over and made me decided to sell and not repair was that I think the bag had been stored folded for so many years by the previous owner(s), that it seemed no matter what I did to it, I couldn't get those deep creases in the canvas to ever relax and not be visible on both sides of the bag.
I remember your speedy 40, the creases were not deep to me at all, but could be I'm getting too used to preowned bags, lots of imperfections doesn't bother me as much as when I was just started buying luxury bags years ago.

Was quoted $880 for changing all exterior leather on a Speedy 40. Seems a bit steep. I'm going to think about it as I don't really use the bag that much, but one of the rivets snapped and I won't use it in like that, might just try and sell it as is.
i had this done on the same size speedy about two years ago and it was $750. i only did it as they no longer make the speedy40 and this was a model from the 1980s with excellent canvas quality.

I need to do the same to a Speedy.
Did that quote include the D-rings attached to the handles, the piping, all the rivets, and the zipper?
Did you ever go through with the repair?
i did this to my speedy40 about two years ago and they replaced everything that wasn't canvas or the zipper. they even changed the slit pocket inside to one with a zipper and added a D-ring inside.

Very nice. I plan to take mine in next weekend, so I will see what they quote. The repair manager at my boutique is really nice and personable, so maybe I can sweet talk my way into an awesome repair quote.

Sent the Roses Neverfull MM for repair and was quoted $685. Received it back and they apparently changed the quote to a little over $1k but the SA only charged me the original $685 discussed. I didn't bother asking why the change in price. I paid the initially agreed price and ran.
Awesome, your CA did you right! And I'd pay, grab my bag and run too. Apparently they had another price increase affecting repair as well. These days, LV does whatever it wants. A lot of times, even CAs cannot even stomach the things corporate make them do.

Congratulations on your "new" Roses Neverfull. Do show a picture when you get the chance! 🩷 🩷 🩷

I'm considering taking my speedy and speedy HL in to replace the vachetta on the zipper pull, as they are pretty worn down.

Has anyone has this done recently? I believe I've read on here this be free? If not, how much did you pay? And how long did it take?
Not sure if you got them replaced eventually.

I was quoted around $50 for replacing the zipper pull tab.

Hope this helps.

Does anyone know if LV will replace the coin purse on the Trio Messenger? Not repair, replace. I backtracked my footsteps and for the life of me, I can't understand how it could've become detached. TIA

Those should be available as repair parts. At a cost, but they should be able to order one for you. Unless it's a very old special edition.
