Repair/Replacement Costs - List

I had all vachetta on mine replaced last summer & cost was around $1,100 + tax. Only problem with this is the date code is totally removed & my bag was from '90s so I lost the "confirmation" of age with the replacement.
Thank you for that! As I expected the replacement cost is higher than I’m willing to pay for my vintage Noe vachetta but I’m glad to know the price.

Yesterday I created four repair requests in the "My Care service" section of the Louis Vuitton app. I am curious, how long do you usually have to wait for a reply from the online care expert? Please note that I am located in the EU.

I’m in the middle of a repair right now (UK). They got back to me very quickly - within a couple of days if I remember correctly. However, it’s now been over 13 weeks since I sent my bag off and I received an email a few days ago to update me - apparently they’re having difficulty sourcing the parts required. I would’ve thought part of the assessment by the online care expert would encompass whether or not they have the necessary replacement parts available to carry out the repair.

Thank you for your reply. I will keep this thread updated and wish you all the best for your repair.

Here are the quotes (following the online assessment by the digital care advisor) I received for my four items:

Replacement of 2 handles and 4 handle attachments in black taurillon leather: 500.00 €
New edge varnishing on all sides of a large zipped wallet: 125.00 €
New edge varnishing of one side of a medium sized zipped pouch: 125.00 €
Replacement of one large zipper tab in black leather: 125.00 €

Got this baby back from repair! All corners from the bottom of the bag and front pocket had the coating peeling off. LV replaced both the full front and back canvas bodies 🥰 so basically majority of the canvas parts.
The front pattern alignment before repair was better, but I'd take this rather than the peeling canvas getting worse.
Very happy to know that there's hope for peeling canvas to get fixed afterall for some bags.

It’s interesting that LV has changed their stance on touching the canvas. I was always under the impression that they would repair everything except the canvas.

Same thoughts here!

It was complimentary 😊 I've had the bag since 2020 but didn't use it a lot.

Favorite MM.
(I purchased this bag off ebay about 6 yrs ago. When I received it I was very disappointed, it was not as described, it was very well used. I was going to return it to the private seller but instead she refunded me some money)

I contacted LV through my phone app to replace front plate. The quote was $195. When they received the bag they called me. She said I should replace the leather and D rings! Which after I mailed it in I was kicking myself for not asking. My quote was then $485. I received the bag back in about 8 weeks. They also included a new strap! And a handwritten note. They also called me a week after I received the bag to follow up I was completely satisfied. WOW LV! Outstanding customer service!! Super happy with how my first big repair went. I feel the price was very fair for what I received.

Final: $495.
New: Leather strap, & Front plate
Replaced: Leather & D rings

Hi everyone! Just wanted to get some thoughts regarding this issue I have with my Neverfull MM. I bought the bag about a year ago in Hawaii. However, I really never noticed the stitching of zipper until recently (see photo) as the zipper does not close all the way at the end.. and it has been bothering me that I regret not checking the bag carefully when I bought it. I barely use the bag so it’s still pretty brand new. Do you think LV will repair the zipper or replace the bag? Please let me know if anyone has gone through similar issues. Thanks so much!
