Thank you for your suggestion, but I think the original Eva strap is longer than the adjustable strap and I am quite tall.

I will definitely opt for LV original strap instead of Etsy. Yes, it is more expensive, but you do not want to cheapen your bag. The replacement strap should not be that expensive. Bring your bag to the boutique and they will sell or order one for you.

Hey guys! I've had a full leather replacement on my Speedy 40 a few years ago and I was so extremely happy. It was around 500€.
Today I wanna take my Speedy 25 out for the last time.And give her a proper farewell before I send her of for a makeover.
Here's a little bag(ck) story about the bag her date code dates her back to November 1997. I bought her two or three years ago, at the time I was considering buying a Speedy B 25 but since I'm on the taller side (6 feet) I wasn't sure about the size. So while I was indulging in a glass of wine or two, I thought why not get a used 25 and see if I like the size. (??) And guys, I L.O.V.E. the size, while I do have a nice little collection of handbags, this little guy became my favorite!
I realized that personally for this size I could perfectly live without the Bandouliere. When I bought her I only paid 189$ (!!!) Canvas was and still is in perfect condition, handles showed very obvious signs of use, which I could easily wipe off to make them look way less junky.
Here is a before pic that includes her older Sister Speedy 40 (VI0489) that has already been through the process. (Vachetta Shoulderstrap is bought of Etsy non LV)
I will update the quote once I was at the boutique tomorrow.

Speedy 40 leather piece on the zipper cost $50 to replace yesterday. Mine was chewed a solid 5-6 chews by a pet. Depressing because it was previously pristine. I looked away for only a second …

They quoted me 625€ for the full leather replacement, and said it will take around 8 weeks.
Just an fyi-I went to get a quote for my Palermo GM to have the leather replaced on the outside-quoted 1760$ I declined that!!

I really want them to be able to have them hot stamped, but could've sworn I'd seen people saying they were able to purchase these for $50 each recently in store? Maybe not, idk. I just wish I didn't live 2.5 hours from my closest store so I could actually have a relationship with a CA. I tried buying one when I was in a major city on a trip last weekend and the CA was super weird about it, I told her I had my Randonnee in the car and I could go get it if a photo of it didn't suffice. She took a photo of my photo and disappeared into the back for a while before coming out and saying they'd need to order it and I would need to bring the piece in with me when I came to pick up the tag. While she was in the back another super friendly CA came over to see if we were being helped and complimented my outfit and I really wish I could've gotten her instead of the snotty one I was stuck with!

I started a repair on the LV app to have the leather tab repaired on my mini pochette accessoires. Was quoted only $50 (way less than they would have quoted in my local boutique). It’s only been gone a week and GOD do I miss it
I’ve noticed recently they’re more reluctant to give or even sell the luggage tags. For clochettes also. They’re starting to irritate me and that’s why I’ll continue to by pre loved and only use them for repairs. I plan on stopping in a boutique soon to send it off. I haven’t time since I got the bag.
I did find my receipt for the previous PA I had done in 2021/22 and I paid $60 for the tab at the end of the zipper.
