I have the same problem with my chocolat twiggy, although it is hardly noticable. I will be watching this space for how to fix it!
What year is your City from? Your peeling may be the result of the "glazing" effect seen on recent (2005?) bags. I have a red one from that year, so I'm concerned.
Here are the pictures. It looks worse IRL...or maybe i'm crazy and paranoid. I'm disappointed nonetheless. What do you gals think? My cousin and sister thinks it adds character, but i'm not into the "hole in my bag look." I'm still trying to find a shoe repair place in LA somewhere.

OMG - this started happening to my b-bag earlier this year. I had to go 14 rounds with the boutique i purchased it from. It wasn't pretty...

yikes, just saw your photos caelum-girl & my beloved black twiggy has the same problem
...but i love her with all my 
& couldn't ever part with her (she was my 1st b-bag)...mine isn't bothering me enough yet to do anything about it, but lemme know what happens with yours

...i did put some AG conditioner on mine after it happened & it seemed to help smooth it out Well, I was just looking over my Ink City and found an area that seems to have the same problem .. and mine is brand new (or "new old" stock if Ink is old enough to warrant being called that). I am attaching pics ... what do you think? I would describe mine more as a crack in the leather, though...rather than "peeling."

Well...this is probably the last straw for me ... I was a little on the fence w/my Ink, but now I think I'm going to send it back to NM. I've gotta make a decision on whether I want to trade it for something they might have in stock (I'm thinking Rouge Vif, Sapin, or Blueberry), or hold out for the Bleu India City!!
