I do not think that water should pull color from the bag and there shouldn't be any tears on the bag. You should return it. It's a lot of money for any imperfectons to occur!

Call the store and tell them the color is rubbing off and it's all over your clothes. They should atleast let you exchange it for another. Maybe get another color?

Leathers are *not* supposed to touch water at all unless treated to be water-repellent because the water would leave a mark. If your bag is of a very dark colour, it is only natural to expect some dye to dissolve upon contact with water. The dye should not rub off dry, but no manufacturer would guarantee what happens with water since leather is supposed to be kept away from water.

What colour is your bag? You might have caused water stains with your cleaning. In that case, it would be difficult to return.

My black definitely had some dye trouble in the begining - but I've used it in rain and snow storms. When I'd clean the bag with some apple conditioner and a soft cloth I'd notice on the handles only dye would transfer from the handles to the cloth. No big deal though, the bag's still black :p

i know how each b bag is in it's unique leather form and that it differs from bag to bag, but i found a small tear by the stitching and was wondering if that's the style or did i just bought a defective one? additionally, does the color comes off when wiping it with water? because i was cleaning a spot and i saw some blue on the paper towel.

any help regarding these questions will be grateful. i've been pondering for all day and am not happy with these discoveries.
yikes, i'm so sorry your new bag has a tear in it ...i think the dye coming off with water is normal, but the tear isn't...i got an emerald work from AR with a tear & had to send it back for a refund :hysteric:...they refunded me for the price of the bag & didn't charge a restocking fee, but made me pay to ship the bag back myself...i took photos of the tear, which i printed out & also e-mailed to them...and i sent the bag back the same day i got it, with the tags still attached....i'd call jumpei & see what he can do for you :girlsigh:

my city is in the color of bleu roi, shiny type of leather with cracks. and i cut the plastic ring of the tag, so it's tagless. it's probably too late to return. i got excited after receiving it, so i cut it off, but then i inspected it from top to buttom and discovered the unfortunate.
