^ You should try to call Jumpei and explain anyway...he is such a sweet man!

As far as the color coming off, I think its normal with the bolder colored bags. Especially with the new season ones, as they are now including a new care card. The tear though, is another thing. Maybe you could take a pic to show us what you mean?

I think there was a thread a while back about magenta rubbing off on clothes, so I guess it sometimes happens although I haven;t experienced it myself. If you can't return the bag, maybe it can be repaired so that it doesn't rip further?

faircherie - I'm sorry to hear about the problems you've had with your bag. Did you just recently purchase it? If so, then I think it's definitely not too late to report it. In fact, I was reading an old email I had from AR, and you actually have 14 days for a return/exchange. Here's the statement I copied from their email:

If/When we are receiving a return or exchange, the package MUST be
postmarked 14 days from the date of purchase for customers in the USA and
Japan, and 21 days for customers from other countries. We have the right to
refuse the shipment if the date has already passed.

Good luck! :flowers:

thanks, but i took the plastic ring that hangs the tags, wouldn't they refuse it?

i actually tried calling them on saturday, but only it was an answering machine. i'll have to wait until tomorrow, hopefully AR will do something.

My magenta definitely comes off with just water ... just rubbing it with a wet cloth or a cloth w/leather conditioner yields some color transfer. I haven't noticed it rubbing off on my clothes though ... but I wear dark clothing most of the time. Anyway, what I'm saying is that I think that part is normal ... but the tear is not.

guys, i called jumpei, and unfortunately he will not let me return it because i cut off the tags and he said that the bleu roi city is all out anyway, so i can't even exchange it. and i only want the bleu roi.
he said to email him the photos of the tear and he will try to get it repair for me for free, he has to convince this person to get it free for me, i forgot his name.

awe, i'm sorry they can't exchange it for you, especially since there are no blueberry cities left ...but you should post a photo of the tear so we can see...maybe it's not really so bad afterall :girlsigh:

That sucks, but at least they are willing to repair the bag for free.

Hello everyone! :p Does anyone know how easy/difficult it is to repair the corners of a b-bag that has the piping showing? I guess if I take it to a good cobbler, they can match the color of the bag and cover piping with something? Is it costly? Thanks!

I believe the folks at lovinmybags.com can do this kind of repair. Check 'em out!

Yeah, I was just about to suggest this. They've repaired balenciaga bags with that same problem before. they replace the missing leather and color match it for you. In fact, I was at the studio last week and there were 2 Balenciaga bags that were sent in recently for repair. I know one was definitely from a PFer(she forgot their name, though---it was a White balenciaga City) and the other was a 2005 Pre Fall Caramel City. The studio is huge and the owners were really nice and knowledgeable.
