hey ladies, I'm not sure if this bag can be helped- its totally worn out and at the corners the leather is cracked. Is there a place in Europe that does repairs as I think it will be too much hassle to ship to the States and back? I don't want to use this poor Coffee Balenciaga anymore due to the state she is in. I almost thought of throwing her away.. :/ Please help ;)

I don't know if this poor little thing can be helped. And even if it did the cost would be so high that it wouldn't be worth it. I wouldn't think of having it repaired. You can take it to a Boutique in Europe and ask their opinion. Sending it to the USA would only add to the cost. Sorry!

The stitching on the piping is so close to the end of the leather piece (to the point where there is no extra leather on outer part of the stitching)! This is a new balenciaga and this is happening on the corner of the bag so I am afraid that if I overload the bag ( or with time) the leather might rip! Do you guys think I need to worry about this? I am not sure if I am just being paranoid...

I see what you mean, but I don't think you could ruin it if you overload it. The weight doesn't go there if I understand correctly.

Does it have to be the boutique i got it from?
Do you have any idea if they can change the whole stud or just attempt to repair it?

I bought an item with covered hardware in the George V Bal boutique in Paris and I asked about repairs at the time, cos I was nervous about it. I was told that it could be taken to any Bal boutique - but ideally the one where it was bought - and it would be sent away for replacement studs. BUT this could only be done if the colour was still in stock and this could be an issue with older colours. I was told that the cost would be in the region of 100 euros per stud and it could take some weeks IF it could be done at all. The studs would be replaced, not repaired as such.

Not a great option really IMO. HTH.

Yes as mentioned above the studs would be replaced if the color still existed, however I wonder wouldn't they look totally different if the bag is older? Imagine one new stud and all the rest old. There would definitely be a difference in color. But if you are careful, I don't think anything would happen to them. You wouldn't rub them on a wall or something.

hello there i have the anthracite balenciaga long story short...mybag got stained with red nailpolish..its not a huge stain but i was wondering if theres anyway to remove it nail polish remover did not work...need help pls

I have a 08 rubisse city whose handles are darkened and parts of the leather straps are fraying as well.
The repair personnel Nicole at NYBal suggested ordering handles and replacing them at $255.
What do you guys think? Should I do it?ImageUploadedByPurseForum1376449187.129765.jpg

I probably wouldn't do it yet. From the picture I can see the stitch has frayed but I cannot see the handles being so dark. I would postpone. The price of $255 though is not that high for something like that (two handles) IMO. It is always your choice. If you don't like seeing it this way maybe you should. Unless they could fix the stitching for you and pay less, if that is possible. Also until you have them replaced you could put some fabric glue on these frayed stitches. It does the job. I have used it on other similar cases. Just a little does the job, not too much otherwise it becomes very stiff. You could give it a try, then try to clean the handles with special products (LMB) that are in the market and if you still don't like them you can send it to Bal for repair. That is what I would do. One way or another you got nothing to lose.
