I was thinking of purchasing a preowned floral satin bag in overall good condition. Question- how does that satin hold up after time?...It wont be an "everyday" bag, but is it worth the money...or should I hold out for somthing all leather..that will overall look and feel better with time? Also is there a way to clean the satin?? any responses will be greatly appreciated!!:D

Hi, I need help. I've lost a rosegold hardware stud frk
A
Recently purchased giant town :( I am located in Singapore, where can I get a replacement stud or get it fixed?

Try going down to the store at Hilton Hotel and ask if they can help you replace a new one, which I think they can, with a nominal fee. One of my Bal has its stud loose, and it could turn 360 degrees. I dropped it off at the store to get it fixed and it was done about a week later. Paid <$30 for it if I didn't remember wrongly.

Hope it helps! :)

hi ladies,

not sure if this was previously brought up, but I wanted to share this with you..

I recently bought a cream that worked best among all the conditioners I've gotten (apple, meltonian, etc.) !

It's revived the colour of my bleu roi and gotten rid of the scruffs - the bag is now silky smooth! Will post pix soon.

it's called Master-fix leather cleaner & conditioner and you can get it at Master Fix outlets in Singapore. Retails for 24.90SGD i think! :)

If you bought it from Bal or authorized seller, it's easy to have it fixed at Bal NY. If it was not, try Art bag in upper east side. They are a reputable leather repair place and some members tried them and had good experience. I brought my bag, not Bal, to them and I was happy with an outcome. Good luck!

Hi, I have a Balenciaga velo bag with covered hardware (same as the one in the picture). A couple of the leather coverings near the bottom worn out and start to show the metal studs inside. Does anyone know if I can ask Balenciaga to repair it? And how much will that cost?

I recently acquired a coral pt without a shoulder strap - I'm happy to carry it by the handles so it's no biggie - but does anyone know if I could get a shoulder strap for it in the same colour?! I'm in the UK.
TIA :smile1:

I just thought I would post a pic of my Town strap that I shortened myself by halving the strap along the centre seam. I believe the long strap is made up of two City straps so you are actually left with a City length.
I'm not suggesting do it yourself, although I am very happy with my results and I have no sewing experience whatsoever. Rather I thought that if you could see my results then you may have less reservations about sending it to a professional!
These are pics of the end that I 'made'. I used the thread from the abandoned half so it was a perfect match, and used 3 or 4 layers of acrylic paint as a sealant on the edges.. which has remained intact.

Hi guys. I’m in need of advice!
The edging on the handles of my anthra twiggy are COMPLETELY gone and the white part is exposed. The rope detailing has also begun to fade but nothing horrible and aside from a little leather conditioning the bag is perfect. My question is should I try to DIY the handles with edgekote and moisturize it myself or should ship it off to be professionally done because the edging is so far gone?
TIA

Hello

I've just started buying balenciaga bags lately (pre-loved). My latest one is a Town in Moutarde. Anyway, i noticed some dark areas on the corners so I decided to clean it with my leather conditioner/cleaner. Now some of the dye started to fade :oh:

Is there any way I can intensify the yellow color again? I was considering having my bag restored by professionals but I don't think it's that bad yet... it's just the corner.

It costs around $95 (USD) converted here... Hope I can hear some of your advice.

Some before and after pictures from this post on my blog - hope it can help someone!
