I think it's been established that 2 colors tend to yellow, no?
- Light pink
- Ice blue

Hopefully they've corrected the problem by now.

Wicc, it would really bother me too, I don't think it's at all unreasonable to ask for a refund, have you talked to your seller?

Yes, I contacted the seller regarding the condition of the bag and hoped for a amicable settlement. I did not flat out mention a refund because I am willing to go the route of restoration IF she was willing to reimburse me for it. However, the seller is lvlady99 and she has clearly indicated that she only refunds for authenticity issues. I do not wish to open a dispute on ebay because I have heard they tend to side with the powersellers. Personally, I have 61 feedback ratings and they are all 100% positive. This Bal was my biggest purchase so far on ebay (my next highest was be my Bal Rouge Money) and I am afraid the seller would accuse me of trying to pull a scam.

so sorry to hear ur bad experience with the seller...in fact, i have no idea abt ice blue bbag but i did purchase an LV bag from this seller before...so far i have no complains with her since her description has stated as it is.....sometimes, it's a risk to buy online (esp for used bag) as the pics may turn out nice and shown as the exact one u are getting...however, when u rec'd it, it may not turn out as much as wat u think.....sigh

Are you sure that she won't take the bag back? She is usually super nice and provides great customer service.

So sorry this happened....so disappointing. Big hug. If not a refund, maybe she would be willing to exchange it for a different Bbag? Does she have another color you might like instead? Keep us posted.

Forgot to mention, I've dealt with her in the past when I was buying LV and she was very nice to me, however I never had to return anything. I always got the impression that she was reasonable to work with though, unless a buyer was aggressive or accusatory (just going by her FB). I would just be very polite and express your feelings and think positive. This will work out.

I would suggest you contact her about the bag and ask if it can be returned. I haven't dealt with her personally, but I know other people have returned items and she has been very accommodating. Good luck.

Although she says she only allows returns for authencity issues she might be willing to make an exception. Lots of sellers do!

Let us know what she says when she responds to you

yikes, i'm so sorry that happened to you sweetie, but you need to return the bag to her ...there's no cure or treatment for yellowing unless you have the bag dyed, which then changes the consistency of the leather...i've heard she's very reasonable, so i would ask her for either 1) a full refund or 2) an exchange for another bag...please let us know what happens

oh dear, I think it's better if you return the bag for a full refund instead of trying to get rid of its yellowing.

I've got an ice blue and there's no yellowing at all, so be a little patient, you'll find your dream bag in all its icy blue glory one day =)

Honestly...there is no cure for yellowing. Cleaning it won't help because it's not dirt, it's dye discolouration. Your only option would be to have it professionally redyed but they will not be able to match the original colour exactly and it may be quite obvious that it was redyed.
In my opinion, you should send that puppy back pronto. It will only get worse and it sounds like it is significantly not as described.
you're right on the money stylefly. Try asking her if she can make an exception in your case since there wasn't evidence of yellowing on the pictures. Good luck I hope everything works out.

They themselves don't do work, but they will send out your bag to their trusted leather repair place for any fixes that need to be done. You can call them to inquire about specific repairs, they start at $25 and go from there. I've had them replace missing studs, do a full cleaning, and a couple of other things over the years. I doubt they would advocate redyeing as it changes the colour and leather significantly.

I know there's a lot of talk on this subject, but it seems to me that Bal should do something about yellowing bags. I know everyone says it is a natural part of the process, but seriously. That's just ridiculous to happen to such expensive bags. I know that LV will replace MC bags that have started to yellow. I personally think Bal should do the same! Or am I being naive? :sweatdrop:
I agree with you 100%!!! I wanted a pale pink and my SA actually steered me away from them because of the yellowing problem. All light bags DO NOT yellow and Balenciaga needs to address the issue or take them back when they do it within the first 2 years, especially if the bag is like new only yellowed.

LVlady should take the bag back if she didn't disclose. Fading is not yellowing.
