Le'Shine at Far East Plaza 2nd storey also cleans high-end designer bags. There is another place (forget the name) at the basement of Far East Shopping Centre (this is the grotty one next to Liat Towers.

oic...thanks for the info...really appreciate it...i think i heard abt the one at far east plaza, they are specialised in servicing designer bags......:tender:

I finally got an answer on my e-mail. Can't belive it really takes this long for Balenciaga to decide if I can send it in or not. It's not even sure they're going to repair it... But at least they're going to look at it

Ok, even if you're not an expert...would like your opinion.

Could a shoulder strap be removed from a Part Time (GH) and added to Work (GH) without ruining the Part Time?

I have already asked Artbag this question, and they said to send them the bags and they would let me know... and Lovinmybags referred me to Artbag. ;)

So, I'm just interested in some speculation on this...would it be possible? I imagine the stud removal on the Part Time is going to leave a hole ... could that be repaired/covered up to not look too bad? Once I do this, I'd like to resell the PT. Of course, I know it would devalue it, but I'm hoping not TOO much.

Can you tell I'm unreasonably desperate to have a Work with a shoulder strap? ;)

I would try to just ADD a shoulder strap to the work without altering the part time.

I have a feeling it would be hard to sell the part time once the shoulder strap is removed. I doubt you would find a buyer for it.

I'm pretty sure I could find a buyer for it. Seems to me that 98% of the photos I see on tPF show people NOT using the shoulder strap on the PT. So I think I could find a buyer - as long as the repair job could look nice.

There would be no way to add a strap to the work that could look even remotely genuine, unless Balenciaga sells hardware parts. Do they? Well, that's probably a ridiculous question.

I'm amazed at how brave you are! hmmm....how about if you just remove the shoulder strap the normal way (ie. no stud removal necessary), and Artbag just somehow attaches the shoulder strap to your Work (Artbag should know how somehow, I think?)? Then you'll have a Work with a shoulder strap, and a strapless but undamaged PT to sell?

THat was a pretty unscientific percentage I came up with, I have to admit... ;)

peppy...that might be an option...hmmm...but still, it might not look that good on the work w/o the Balenciaga gold ring and stud...

^^ ditto, i think it would seriously devalue the bag by up to 50% :push:...even selling highly collectible "vintage" b-bags with missing straps devalues them by that much...i bought my flat brass pebbled first for only $1K when they've been selling for up to $2.5K, because it was missing the shoulder strap...honestly, i wouldn't alter any of my bags that way & think the work style's probably just not for you...but i admire your resolve & wish you the best of luck!!! :cutesy:
