There's no such thing as "bad luck as retribution" which is what that superstition's all about. So don't worry about that! If you want to make your bag intact again, you could probably send the mirror to Balenciaga for a repair. That way if you ever want to sell it, you know you're getting top dollar for it.

That's a GORGEOUS red, btw! Love, love, love it!

Sorry about your mirror! I suspect that even if BalNY won't repair it for you (and they probably will), you could find a similar sized mirror and have a shoe repair shop or someplace get it replaced... or it sounds like BalenciagaPlaneT was able to do it herself with some time and patience.

YOU CAN FIX IT! Believe me!

Someone I know took hers to a Glass and Mirror shop and they fixed it without damaging the leather what-so-ever!

Just make sure you stress to them that item is from an expensive bag, and I'm sure they will take extra care.

Dont stress, it can be fixed!

If you're worried about bad luck, let me tell you that a full-length fell on me a few months before my wedding (13 years ago), broke and cut me on the thigh. But I had the best wedding ever, my husband and I are more loving if anything, and financially, we have taken off to levels I never thought possible. So... tell me about bad luck and mirrors :supacool:

I am sorry this happened to you!! It sounds fixable though

And thanks for the warning, I will be very careful not to do that when I *finally* get my first City.

HELLO! This has happened to me before. I took the broken mirror (still inside the leather frame) to my local glass supplier. It was a dodgy little shed at the back of a light industrial estate. They actually supplied glass & mirrors for shower screens, windows etc. They found a piece of mirror that was almost as thin as the one used on the Balenciaga mirrors and inserted it for me. It was as good as new and only cost me $12

OMg! This is so hardcore... If that happend to me, I'd be so paranoid:death: . Im glad it turned out so well for you though! Surely, im safe now... as long as I don't look inside it...
Thank you all very much for advice & sympathy :smile1: after sleeping on it (the problem that is) it seems like not that big a deal.

I've never had this happen to me. One of the studs (by the buckle on the bottom of a day bag) has fallen off, and I don't know where it is? has this happened to anyone? Can LMB repair it, do they have the studs? I'm not sure where to go from here. any advice be great.

Call Balenciaga, they do repairs. If you didn't get it from them, it may be a bit complicated or you may have to pay, but in any event, they handle these repairs. 212-206-0872

Hi ladies, I just found this great place called Colour Wash if you need to clean and repair your bags. They can do waterproofing and anti-fungal treatment as well.

Just to share some info I got from the lady boss from Korea...
They specialize in dyeing bags too...I know most people will not be keen on changing the texture and nature of the leather (including myself) But I think this is a great alternative for light coloured bags that have been soiled by ink/stains etc... The lady boss has actually dyed an eggplant black upon request as the owner of the bag had ink spilled on it. Though I am still not very keen of the idea of dyeing my bags, she assured me that the marbling effect of B bags will not be affected.

Hi there, i'm from singapore too...glad that you share this info on PForum...however, do you have the address? so that i can check it out as well...thanks.... ;)
