Moisturize the bag, especially the corners and try to hang it whenever possible. That's what works for me and none of my corners are worn unless they were already worn a little when I bought a used bag.
I bought one bag brand new (and it was a brand new style at the time so it wasn't sitting around forever) and the corners were already worn. i guess some of the distressing can be more aggressive than on other bags. i try t be a bit more careful with that bag since the corners are already so dry. but i guess i should moisturize, huh.
Yeah - the city style is really hard to keep the corners safe.
I've never gotten wear on the corners of my city though. Just a lot of babying the bag. I never throw it around and I never set it on the floor and I avoid hard surfaces as much as possible. lol.. sometimes I'll put my jacket down on a table and then set my city on top of it so it's 'protected'.
I have a French Blue where the edges (trim) on the bag are lighter than the rest of the bag - like the dye did not take as well or something. What would be the best way to try and restore the color, or at least make it a little darker?
leather repair places? i did this once with a bbag and they did a great job. however my bag is white, so you'd have to find a place that really knows what it's doing and knows how to match vibrant balenciaga colours...
