I wouldn't try anything drastic. If you don't love it or if it bothers you that much, why not sell it and get another one with the perfect trim? I'm sure there's someone out there who's not bothered by the lighter trim.

:wtf: :crybaby: Omg, i just got my first Balenciaga two weeks ago and kept it on the floor near my laptop, so i could pet it from time to time (i know... sick :push: ) anyway, I got up, made a step and heard a crack. I stepped on the B-mirror, It's completely destroyed now, but i can't get it out... Im really upset although i didn't use it at all but still.... Is something bad going to happen to me now??? :wtf: Is there somewhere I can get a replacement? The little envelope is fine obviously...

Yikes, I'm sorry about your mirror sweetheart!!!

I know that I've heard of people ordering extra tassels from BalNY, but I don't know about mirrors. You could try getting ahold of them, just to see if you could order one. What color is it?? An older one would be harder to come by, I believe...

Oh well.... I only really needed it in case I wanted to sell the bag one day. I guess that won't be happening ;)
Anyway, here's the wreckage... It was bought for me in selfridges, I believe it's called true red or vif red... some kind of bloody red.

ooh if you arent going to be selling her & never used it then i'd just untie it from the bag. i never use mine... i'll prob. remove it one day & just keep it in the box in case i sell it one day...

i would think you'd be able to replace the mirror - although i havent looked at mine to even see if the mirror is easily removed.

^^^I don't think that's just with asians. There is a superstition about 7 years bad luck if you break a mirror. That's the first thing I thought of too, but I would never want to mention that.

I'm sure BalNY or whichever store you bought it from could help you get replacement. I'm so sorry. Good luck to you!

If you're worried about bad luck, then I believe that's what makes it happen.
When you're worried, every little thing that happens, you're going to blame on that mirror. Just ignore it and you'll be fine! :)

Awww - but seriously, if you don't use the mirror it doesn't matter - and even if you were to sell it you could sell it without the mirror. I used my mirror in my bag for like a week after I got it. I never actually used it - I just didn't un-tie it. Well, my mirror isn't broken - but it's all dingy and scratched from being in my bag with my other stuff - and only for a week! :s. If you were to sell it - sell it with the mirror, broken or not. What's the difference between a scratched up, dingy mirror and a mirror with some cracks in it? Eh, I don't think most people use the mirror anyway ;) Don't sweat it!
