Whereabouts is it spitting? I found that the leather on this past seasons bags was quite a bit dryer and cracked almost (well, the ones that I saw anyway), could this have anything to do with the problem?

Hi all,

Just wondering if I was the only one who has problems with loose stitching on a balenciaga city. I have a rouge vif and I just noticed that i have a couple of loose stitches on one of the areas where the leather is attached to the bag. It's hard to explain, but its the stitching that is attached to the bag and the shoulder strap.

I rarely use this bag and i don't put heavy items in it. What should I do? I'm afraid it will get worse...

I havent had this problem, and I too have a Rouge VIF City...

Could it possibly have been that way when you purchased it?

Depending on where you got it from you may be able to return it, coz that definately shouldnt be happening!

Yes, the leather on this bag has always seemed dry and crackled. I will post pictures later today. THis is the only area on the bag that seems worn. I purchased it at NM in Sept. or Oct. I have a black twiggy and a pink box which have never had a problem like this???

I'm in Canada and ArtBag or LMB are waaaay too expensive to ship back and forth...I just received my '04 black City ( ) and the corners are as bad as I thought. They look repairable, but I'm wondering whather anyone has had any luck with taking the bag to a local leather shop or cobbler and getting them to fix worn corners?

I know this isn't an answer to your question, but I think the reds in particular are bad for this. I had this trouble with Rouille. Luckily my friend was cool with it so she bought it off me. I think Balenciaga itself would have a good answer for this dilemma. They would probably offer to repair - if you don't get cheeky and ask you don't get!

I might consider to do send it in for repair. Would anyone happen to know what it would cost? Should I contact Balenciaga directly or go trough the store I bought it in?

PLease, if anyone has any other suggestions - tell me! I really don't want to send it to Balenciaga for repair, I did that once before (one of the rivets fell off just a few days after I bought it) and it took months!!

My 2006 bags are starting to crack and peel off on the handles now. I figure there's not much that can be done about it. Unless...if you coat them with clear glue?
