i have a white purse and money wallet. and i just treated them the other day with Apple. I used the purse and the wallet very frequently, and i admit that i am pretty bad at keeping it clean, and keeping my dirty hands and others away from it. i don't have a picture of it before because it really wasn't too pretty, but i do have a picture of it now. i just took it.
Beautiful. That's how most of my white bags are too. I spray them with Apple Guard once a month and clean any dirt off right away. The handles are the main area that you have to watch. The strings on the handles of white bbbags absorb things fast. I use Apple Guard when they are new, I also tried the LMB handle protector, and so far, seems to be working.
I cleaned the handles on my '04 white City. They were not very dirty but there was some dirt on them. I used the Apple cleaner and it all came off on the rag. I applied it, then pressed hard in one direction. It seriously got almost all of the dirt off of the handles. I don't think this will work with permeated, seriously darkened handles, but it did work for handles slightly darkened with mostly surface dirt. Then I treated with LMB handle care and sprayed twice with Apple Guard.

thnaks donna..
the Apple cleaner worked so well!!! i was so hesitant to use it, but i tried a little on the back corner, and it worked, so i just kept using it on all the dirty spots. the handles are still a bit dirty. i really wonder if that cornstarch one works?? i might have to give that a try.

Hi all! I'm looking into sending a pale pink bag to lovinmybags (the one I used their products on). It looks good now that I cleaned it up, but not as fresh as I'd like it to. I'm wondering if having it professionally cleaned would mean changing the texture of the bag... because that is definitely not something I want to do! There's no huge stains or tears on the leather, just some stubborn dingy-ness. Does restoring mean re-dying, or can it be done without it? Any opinions are appreciated-- thanks!

A good, deep, professional cleaning is not refinishing or redying the leather, just removing the grime. It should not change the leather texture or feel at all. However, email LMB and they will let you know what they can do and how extensive the process would be. I'm pretty sure they only do what's necessary to achieve the best results.

I had an '03 off-white flat hobo professionally cleaned by ArtBag in NYC and they definitely didn't alter the finish...they just deep cleaned it. But because of its age there are still signs of wear, whereas, if you have a bag "refurbished" they would re-dye and re-finish it so that you'd think it was nearly new.

pooh_girl, your purse and wallet look fabulous. Are they both '06 white? Did the Apple Cleaner remove the shiny finish at all?
yes they are both 06 white. i didn't remove too much of the shiny finish at all. maybe a bit, but not much. this is the first time i have tried to use products on any of my purses, and happily, it turned out pretty well!
thanks

or splitting of the underside of the leather folded pieces that attach the shoulder strap to the rings at the side of Bbags...I have noticed this mainly on my First, Day & Courrier styles. It's almost like the paint that seals the raw edges of the leather is prone to flake away in this area from the rubbing against the metal ring too. Has anyone else noticed this? Any ideas on how to repair or protect this area? Please let me know if this needs more explaination...
