I received my '04 marron twiggy last week. It is so beautiful - smooshy and distressed, very vintage - but there is a small tear on the front tubing. Should I fix it? If yes, who do you recommend?
i have the exact same problem! except my tubings are exposed on the other corners as well...><. Anyway, I opted to not sent it in to get it fixed mainly because I don't want to be apart from my bag, but if you're ok with that and the exposed tubing bothers you, then I say do it!
Hey Sharyn,
If you really, really love the bag, then get it fixed. But only at Loving my Bags, or somewhere that will fix it "exactly" like Balenciaga.

I really love the bag and want it to last a while. I'd hate for it to worsen, so I think I'll send it off to Loving my Bags. I don't know anyone local that I trust enough with my B bags!
hmmm, i've just noticed that my cornflower twiggy is starting to experience some 'rubbing' on the piping! :-\
I would totally send your twiggy off for a bit of R & R, sshirley! do it for the LOVE!!! woop woop!!!
Hi All,
I've been off my computer for a few days. I'll try to post pics soon. Re. the cording on the handles, it's pretty close to original--maybe a little bit of overcoat got on the edges. Truly, not a problem for me, all things considered.
On the topic of restoration, LMB will soon be using the same finishing coat that Balenciaga uses, just a less toxic version. Therefore, full restorations might now be a viable option.
Early this summer, I bought my first Balenciaga bag in white leather. I used it quite a bit...probably every weekend until about September. I just took it out again last night to look at it and it has turned a tinge yellow...esp. around the handles. How can I revive the white leather look? Do any of you know of any cleaning agents that are safe to use on our babies?? Please advise...it's my first balenciaga and I am a little heartbroken! Thanks!
Try Apple or Coach cleaner. It's probably oil from your hands. Then use Apple Guard to protect it. I have lots of white bags, not only Bbags and this works for me. DON'T use Coach leather conditioner. It will turn them yellow.
