i wonder why it happen tho??? do u carry too much stuff in ur bbag?? or it just happened??
 
I contacted Barbara a couple months ago about the yellowing on light colored bbags and she said there is an ingredient in the top/finishing glaze that Balenciaga puts on the bags that oxidizes over time making the bags turn yellow. She said she and her staff are trying to formulate a product to prevent this from happening, but I haven't heard anything from her about it since then.

i don't like stuffing my bags, so all i had in there was a pair of sunglasses, a coin purse, small tube of hand cream, and my cellphone, which is small too. on the outside pocket i had an eye liner, mascara, chapstick and blotting paper, that's it. i'm telling myself it's one of those things that happen every once in a while, it is an older bag, well loved i'm sure. :rolleyes:
 
The same thing happend to me. I had actully had the bag for less than a week when this happend! I e-mailed LVR (where I bought it from) as soon as I noticed it, which was the 20th august. They told me I had to send it to Balenciaga (they would pay the expences), but Balenciaga was unable to tend to my request until the first week of September because it was a holiday month or something.

The 19th sep. I got a message that Fedex would pick up my bag as soon as I filled out some forms (which I did right away). But they didn't come until october 10th! And the bag didn't arrive until the 20th. I have to say I was pretty fed up with fedex at the time. But when it finally arrived, Balenciaga repaired it quickly and I got it back a month after they recived it!
 
Just spoke with someone named "terry" 'jerry"??? (I was too disturbed to pay attention to the lady's name) and they don't send out replacement rivets but will accept bags to be repaired. :-(

That's not true. My SA said she'd be happy to send one to me but I decided to have them take care of it since the backing is underneath the lining and I'd have to take it apart then sew it up again to replace the rivet. Forget it.

how long ago was that? i wonder if they changed their policy since. i would love to be able to have them send me the stuff and have my cobbler take care of it, at least i know it's not going anywhere that way. but i already sent it out, they should get it be monday...will keep everybody posted:)
