With my yellowing/grey pale rose box and the advice of Balenciaga Italy, yellowing, I've learned to embrace the yellowness in mine. I've been told that it is a natural characteristic of the bag.

The 04 Lilac First I bought has a broken bone!

The raised brass rivet on one side which holds the strap ring has fallen apart completely! It happened all of a sudden when I was carrying the bag running errands, I was crawling on the sidewalk trying to catch the falling parts.

I immediately took it to my cobbler but she doesn't have any matching rivets and couldn't find it in her order catalogs. So she suggested I called Balenciaga and I did. They told me to send the bag in and they'd fix it for free.

Has anyone done that before? Sending something like that in for a repair? How long does it take? I'm so afraid it'd be lost in transaction!!! I'd be sending it in with insurance, tracking, and all that stuff of course, but all I care is the bag will come back to me in the end healthy again!

I sent my pistachio first in because the rivet that attached the leather loop was missing. Balenciaga repaired it and it was good as new. It doesn't take too long so I would definitely suggest trying to have them fix it if you can!
