I was wondering if someone cud help me identify a shawl i so in the - Petit Journal de la la soie, a model is wearing a big Russian fur hat and the shawl is a cape, it a black and white shawl with a tiger in the middle.

Going by the description, it sounds like Tigre Royale by Christiane Vauzelles. It came out in the 70's and was reissued later also as 54cm cashmere/silk. Someone else may have information about the different colorways.

Hi, I wonder if some kind person could help me? I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, fingers crossed.

So, this morning I was walking my 2 little ones down to see the sea and walked past my local secondhand designer boutique and of course couldnt resist popping in!!! Low and behold there was a beautiful orange box just looking up at me. To cut a long story short I purchased what, I hope, is a Hermes Scarf for a complete song and I know nothing about it other than it had belonged to one of the shop's most regular client's whose husband had bought it for her in Paris sometime ago. She never really wore it as she found it too small. So I guess the million dollar question is a) have a bought a complete pup!!! I have no reason to believe it is but hey, you never know...(I realise I probably need to post this question in the other forum) and what design/year it came out - if any!!!!

Any other info gratefully received. It measures 42cm square and the label states its Made in France 65% cashmere, 35% silk. There is a Hermes Paris tag on the bottom corner. It also came with the original box and bag. Hopefully you can see from the pics.......

Thank you so much for having a look, I'm a COMPLETE Hermes novice but oh, I could get severly hooked :graucho:! xx

You've got yourself a lovely Torana designed by Annie Faivre and first issued in 1987. I didn't know it was offered in a C/S pochette. Well done.

I agree, sounds like Tigre Royale. There is a pic of the shawl in the GM Shawl thread in the Reference subforum. Check it out.

IIRC, the Torana in this size and material was offered around 2002
