May I add to Silkfringe's response that, going forward, you need to ask the seller about that specific characteristic. I have brand new never worn scarves that are stiff because Hermes went heavy on the sizing for a couple of years some years back. If you are going to rinse out the sizing/starch, be sure to use some sort of dye catcher (like Synthrapol) and quickly roll the scarf in a white towel or you may create dye bleed problems.

This is an older issue, so it won't be in boutiques I don't think--but an orange one just came up on ebay....ask the seller for more pics and post in the AT thread if you're interested:

I am hoping someone out there may have a list os style numbers and names and can help me out. I have some style numbers (from store invoices) and want to match them up with my scarves. Here are the numbers:
