I am no expert. New 4 year collector. I also don’t know the vintage way of things, but I thought coloring outside the lines ( like in an obvious detailed design not modern) was a sign of a fake. The process itself of the screening process has been the same so why would a vintage be outside the lines in so many places.
I did go down a rabbit hole on eBay where the becanes are plentiful and I will say there is lots of variation between utterly precise design lines and coloring, and not. Are all the becanes with color outside the lines fakes. Yikes scary if so. So like Ashanti said, ask an authenticator to be sure. I would.
Example of precise gear in blue border. Also notice up higher in the pic where the red spikes of wheel thing go against the blue gear you can see a wee bit of white backround between those design elements. Just those two tiny white blobs. That is detail you look for in an authentic silk.
