Absolutely fabulous insights. That’s why one could shop for a scarf back then and knew roughly what would be there. Thank you for your thoughts.
By saying “you knew what would be there “ , I think you mean you knew what you would find for sale at the boutique YES THIS !

Chatting yesterday about the newer dotted Swiss jacquard and eyelet (sic) 70s, they are new , they are novel, innovative OK , I get it, but I can’t find the ONE 90 that I want under all the novelty … end of rant lol

Yes, that’s what I meant. :)

True.

There are some third party authenticators that will provide this service (there is a cost to that - it is not free obviously). Carre de Paris, It is all goode.. do a google search for a professional authenticators.
@annam - It's all Goode has already identified your scarf. I wouldn't worry.

Can anyone confirm that the following colorway exists for Ballet Aquatique? I've only seen it on hermes.digitalurbana.com, and further research into this colorway hasn't yielded anything.

Thanks! I just double checked and Hermesology is the same site as the original source I found. I wonder why there is no other trace of this colorway on the internet? Hopefully someone can set me straight on its existence.

I have seen it for sale once. But all of the colorways rarely come up for sale. It’s one of those designs…if you see it..snap it up as quick as you can. It was a personal grail for me so I hunted for the design. But I am not an authenticator to be clear.

it is a water theme scarf, and the CW is not very watery … maybe that explains the lack of popularity
Kind of like BAINS D HERMES - the go-to CW is the (ho hum yeah ) blue, not the (vibrant) lime green magenta one

Hi, Can anyone help me on the color of this scarf, I found the color fill does not match the line ( I used red line to highlight those, it looks so annoyed. I never seen any thing like that with my other H scarf, is this common that H fill color like this. Thank you in advance!

It is normal. I believe it is a vintage issue Les Becanes you have at hand, so there could be some vaiances in color application. I am not sure what is your problem - are you worred about authenticity or are bothered how it looks? If you are worried about authenticity, reach out to a reputable authenticator and provide the details required for authentication; if you are confident about authenticity but don't like how it looks, put it up for sale and re-home it. Trust me, it isn't worth being annoyed over it:)

I am no expert. New 4 year collector. I also don’t know the vintage way of things, but I thought coloring outside the lines ( like in an obvious detailed design not modern) was a sign of a fake. The process itself of the screening process has been the same so why would a vintage be outside the lines in so many places.
I did go down a rabbit hole on eBay where the becanes are plentiful and I will say there is lots of variation between utterly precise design lines and coloring, and not. Are all the becanes with color outside the lines fakes. Yikes scary if so. So like Ashanti said, ask an authenticator to be sure. I would.
Example of precise gear in blue border. Also notice up higher in the pic where the red spikes of wheel thing go against the blue gear you can see a wee bit of white backround between those design elements. Just those two tiny white blobs. That is detail you look for in an authentic silk.

There are a lot more variances in vintage designs - as the manufacturing methods were different 30+ years ago. While spotted color application woiuld be a red flag in modern designs, it would not be unusual in vintage prints. I have seen the same in other vintage designs/ issues. Hermes isn't the most consistent company out there...

Thank you, I did some research on other item online and found that this design has a lot a color errors like this but mine is worst, yet I am worried about authenticity but other than that, this scarf is ok.
