Hi, I just joined this forum and am amazed at all the knowledge here! I'm hoping someone can tell me about this scarf I recently found. It's signed "Henri de Linares" and has a hunting theme. The scarf looks and feels authentic to me (I've owned real ones before), but there's no care tag. Also, it has two stains, the hems have been pressed flat and one corner is fraying  Do you think it's worth trying to sell on Ebay?

Any info is much appreciated. Thanks! :smile1:

The theme is definitely reminiscent of Linares but I have not seen one of his designs on jacquard fabric (the little sturrups) or his signature or "Hermes.Paris" imprinted on the scarf this way before. I am going to have to defer to someone else on this- if it is authentic, then sure, you should be able to sell it even with the damaged hems and stains and lack of care tag. I would post this in the "Authenticate this Scarf" thread to get more information.

LOL, I just commented in the Scarf Authentication thread: "Nothing ventured, nothing gained!"
It all depends on the price and the bidder...

That's true...I have no idea if this scarf is authentic and I am not a Linares fan, but there's at least one vintage design (50+ years old and never reissued) that I'd be happy to have in practically any condition, at the right price.

Dears, I am new to the Hermes scarves forum. Could someone please send me links to "how to spot a fake" and list of scarves by year (including reissue) if available? Many thanks in advance

Can anyone help? I am trying to find the name of the scarf (or the scarf itself!) which looked like the sails or spinnakers of old fashioned boats, and the one in particular that I remember was a pale blue-ish purple, with cream or white, and the sails all had a fairly linear or etched appearance.

My guess is that it was around 2003, but I could be wrong.
Anyone remember this one?

Could the scarf you are looking for be Vent Portant by Yannick Mannier
